Yesterday was a good day for her. Dosecrease given this morning. PJ playing with her ring toy. It's way to early to hear the ball rolling around the ring.

Got an early message from vet this morning. I'm switching to phone so I can copy it here. BRB.

This is message said:

Doc is checking with the endocrinologists. They asked what her diet is. So far they think there is possible another cause for the insulin resistance. They thing acromegaly would give you worse numbers than you are getting. They also said the Cabergoline studies are not promising. But they will review her results in more depth. Their biggest worry is the abdominal mass by the kidney.

Really???? We have appt with another vet on Monday for 2nd opinion and or to switch to.

Good luck with the dosecrease. I hope you can find a vet that will listen to you. Sending prayers for Olive and your DH today. :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Did you increase by .25 or .5? Wonder if you should print out some other Acro SS's. Have to remember most vets are not comfortable with our greens even though it's a human meter which we know run lower. I had a decent "argument" with one IM vet and in the end we agreed to disagree  Most are very happy with numbers in the 150-300 range from my experience anyway.

No funny stuff today Miss Olive, nice and easy sweet girl.

I went with the .25 since next couple days are busy for me. But now I'm questioning it as it really won't kick in for a few cycles. Since this morning's really won't do anything, I think tonight do another .25 and that would be the .5 and it will kick in as .5 . She saw green last night but so short lived.

I found a previous vet I liked from years ago but left the practice and went elsewhere. So I am going to contact him, see if he will look at test results before I haul her an hour down the road. If I lucky maybe I can request a home visit since he lives very local to me.

SS data keeps disappearing today. I entered as I get tests and each time I go to enter new data, previous is gone.

Crystal, Pig, Phoebe - to name a few boring fairly monochromatic acro spreadsheets. Or at worst two colour. I would ask the vet how much experience they have looking at acro spreadsheets. I can guess.

MJW conversed with Royal Veterinary College and they told her that adding octeoride to the cabergoline worked better for some cats if cabergoline alone didn't do it. I think almost all kitties on cabergoline have at least had their dose lowered, which is a good thing. It means less growth hormone output.

Focus on the nadirs you are getting. The rest will follow.

What no food spike???? Can't she keep anything the same!!!

@Wendy&Neko first I have to find a vet who believes she is acro. AND willing to script cabergoline or something that will help. I doubt the vet even treated any.

In the meantime, I'll just keep at it. Consult on Tuesday with another vet. Dental consult is the following week. In between all this DH going through mega testing. Possible mini stroke. He is worse than the vet to deal with. I'm just trying to keep it together.

Paula, I sure do hope that your old vet will turn out to be the one who will listen to you. How frustrating! Sending ton of vines for your DH.
Rusty loves to play with his track ball, too. At home we have the 3 tier Tower of Fun. Here in the city we have a single track, which he likes to work with early in the morning. It is 3 feet from our heads in this tiny studio apartment!

Ear plugs please

Well 2 AM and still 58 for an hour now means nothing to her.
