Good Morning LL!! ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) (Ahhhhhh.... elixir! Thanks Elsa), and Happy Catmint Caturday!
LL! It's is I, Elsa, KBP, president and CEO of Coffee Cat! Life is GOOD! GUESS WHAT! Paw Prints Pizza is open and ready for business! They are running a Caturday Catnip special today, in honor of Catmint Caturday - lots of nip in those pies! They have even used their signature nip cheese. Best order early! The new pizza ovens are great, and so far... they been good pies! Lola and Bug say that they makes excellent nip crust. Mannie's tree house has become the new HQ for Paw Prints Pizza! They sure host alot of pizza parties up there.... Kitties are always coming and going, mega cool! We are busy today packing all up for a trip to Camp Stu to see Rusty and do all the cool things we do t Camp Stu. It was Mannie's fav place! Come and join us!! so. well. anyways. ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) Coffee time!! For today, I proudly offer Elsa's special 10 hour energy coffee, and triple shot espressos, with beans from Starbucks Pike Place Market, their original blend, AND.... for all my Mocha fans: a venti quad peppermint white chocolate mocha, with peppermint infused whip, garnished with peppermint candy chips and white chocolate shavings. SWEET! OH! No worries, a dollop of mint and vanilla and cimmamum swirl ice cream, on top of a dollop of fudge, topped with peppermint chips and chocolate drizzle.... Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh....... mega good!

I hope everyone had a great day yesterday, and a great week. The days with the boys have been good ones! We have been very busy, that part of life has not changed. Yesterday, like all Fridays, was very much a water day, what with swimming in the morning, and swimming again in the evening. BUSY!!!!  Swimming was as good as it always is. The energizer fishie was in his element, and continues to have a great time in the pool. That swim test continues to be elusive.... one of these days we will get that done! ;-) The guards are making an effort to come over and talk with him about his pool stuff, and he has started talking with them. So maybe as that improves he will be more comfortable working with them in a class environment. I've been teaching him what I can. My DD and I have decided that even if he won't take the test, we are ok with that, as he so loves this,a dn ias doing so much more than most kids in lessons do. He continues to swim two, sometimes more, widths of the pool on his own again yesterday. We are starting to get more "big arms" swim in, which is kinda cool. He's been trying to swim on his back too. LOL: might make a swimmer after all. :-D  His favorite thing to do continues to be retrieving objects, usually rings, from the bottom of the pool, and still takes a bucket down with him, to collect them before coming back to the surface. That is cool! He has become more social too, playing with alot of the kids that are there when he is. We still swim at the MLT pool, not his main pool, on Friday nights. I continue to be grateful to my DMIL Connie, who still watches William on Friday mornings so Nicholas and I can go to the pool. Wednesday's swim was also a good one, many many swims under the surface! He still looks forward to our after swim Friday Night Burger Feast too. That is just so fun: burgers and fries, just him and me, with lots of fun stories. Last night the weather was so great that we took our feast out onto the trail, found one of the picninc tables that have there, and ate that marvelous feast "in the woods." So much fun! We even took a few moments for him to walk the trail, and pick berries. Last night we again talked Mariners Baseball, as well as reliving his visit to the river parks. Mt Rainier was very visible last night so we talked about the mountain, hikes there. Nicholas has asked if we can go. I think we can!, and have added that to the list of really cool places to go. I still love that drive from the pool to his house: 30 minutes of little guy stories, my little back seat driver! Quite the imagination he has. He tells stories, we continue to look for rainbows and sunsets and views of Seattle. Great drive home! AWESOME TIME! The beginnings of the night's sunset was really great, and makes for such a pleasant drive home.

Monday found me out hiking! :-D II went to Golds Creek Pond, a repeat for me, down it a dozen times. I love that place. the hike is mega easy, and the views are incredible. Just very pretty all around. I have taken the boys there a couple of times too, we so need to go back. They have loved it in the past, so a for sure. Fun today: the geese were there with all their babies. ALot of baby geese up on the waters of the pass, just not Gold Creek Pond. The Snoqualmie RR Tunnel was an experience. Sheshhhh it is 2.5 miles long, very cold in there, and completely dark, short of light that enters near the entrances. DARK is an understatement. It didn't freak me out or anything, one can see the "light at the end of the tunnel", even thought it is a very tiny spec. Sure wouldn't recommend it to anyone that had issues with the dark or were claustrophobic. Took me about an hour to do the 2.5 - 3.0 in. I kept thinking it had better be worth it with good views when I get to the end. it was . anyways.... quite the experience that was. I just wish there had been more RR stuff there - very little to be seen, short of the tunnel itself. Wound up the adventure with a stop off at Coal Creek, which connects to Gold Creek. No trail just a 1.5 miles off trail exploration of the creek. enjoyed that alot too. The weather was fabulous that day, making for awesome hiking, and a great road trip up to Snoqualmie Pass.

Wednesday, after pool time, Nicholas and I decided we needed to walk the pool trail and see if more berries were ready yet. So we packed up William and off we went in search of berries: salmonberries to start. Nicholas was so excited when he found so many more than last week, promptly gobbled them up, all 59 of them (!!) and proclaimed they were all sweet and juicy and delicious. He found some for William too, who eagerly ate what Nicholas and I picked for him. He too has decided that they are delicious! It was alot of fun. We also looked for the beginnings of the other berries that are found on that trail, and saw that the huckleberries, thimbleberries, raspberries and blackberries are beginning to make fruit. There ought to be primo berry picking and eating there in the next few months. Funny: before we headed into the pool on Friday morning he had to make a quick run through of the beginning of the trial to see if any berries were an easy grab and gobble. LOL: there were. Down the Hatch! and we did the same thing with the PM swim! He so loves those those berry hunts.

Thursday we headed up to Gold bar, to the Skykomish River at Big Eddy. Love that spot, it really is a good one for the boys. Nicholas wanted jack's pass too (lol: both???) but we settled on waiting just a few just to make sure there aren't any lingering snows etc. Besides.... he wanted Juanita beach too, and well no way could we make that if we did jack's pass. anyways - river was wodnerful. Sunny warm and just pretty! The boys had an awesome time. We found salmonberries too. The thimbleberries are just starting to make fruit, so give them a few weeks. There will be thousands there when they do. The bushes were loaded,. LOL: saw 9 trains while there and when getting there.I don't think I have ever seen that many go through in a single day. That was a big hit too. anyways - really nice time on the river. Little guy kept telling me over and over and over again how glad he was that he and William could go there. Guess one can safely day he had a good time. We did make Juanita Beach too, after our trip to the river - more of what he goes there for. Lots of play, and it was warm enough that he could swim in the water. He had such fun with that. all around - really a terrific day. I bet both those boys sleep well that night. William ha also developed a fondness for it all, he just gets so excited when he sees the parks, the beaches, the rivers, He is so very much like his brother when he was that age.

Friday afternoon after swimming we ended up at the new local park we have found. Meadowdale Park continues to be a favorite of Nicholas's. The playground equipment is really nice, with good challenges for him, and well there is that zip line.    That thing is so fun. Nicholas just loves it. Yesterday he was ale to make it all work without Grammie's help. :-D  He has made a few new friends during our visits there, and on yesterday he met two more. It was nice that he is willing to play with whomever he meets there. It is so great to be able to watch him play with boys his own age. They run and climb on everything. The laughs for them are endless. William watches it all, trying so much to be part of the group. What with Swimming in the morning and these park outings in the afternoon, we have, of late, been heading home after that, late afternoon, as both boys are beat, and some serious napping is in order. I know that the day has been good when I catch Nicholas smiling in his sleep. William too!

The boys have been good. Nicholas and William continue to play well together. William is just so excited when Nicholas plays with him, and Nicholas is more than Happy to oblige. Friday was William's 1st birthday1 Where does time go..... Sunday we will be having a party for all family members so we can officially celebrate his first birthday. We will have a BBQ later in the day to also celebrate my DD's birthday. Fun times await! Nick's Pics continue, He has fun with it, so I continue to encourage it anytime he asks for the camera.

Normalcy in MusketeerVille!   What to say about the three musketeers.... They have been good kitties, and even Lola! Well sorta on Lola... Lola will always be Lola. Crazy fun Lola. I know I write this alot, but it all continues to be true: When I got home last night I watched the usual Friday night run and romp. That is so fun to watch, and so what goes down here on FR nights. Elsa just watches, trying to decide if she wants to run too. We have been, lately, getting her to join in on one of the romps. She runs once, maybe twice, chasing Bug down the hall. Not too bad for my senior gal.  This is about the only time I can ever get her to run like that. It is nice to see once in a while. There was nothing amiss when I got home, just kitties waiting at the top of the stairs. Just as it always is. LOVE THAT! Lola was rolling on the stairs, Bug was pacing, and Elsa was just sitting with that stare: where have you been? Definitely a normal Friday night for the kitties. I get a few meows, some leg rubs, they get scritches in return, and then off they go. The runs were endless last night. Lola has been fairly good, no plant issues, no torn papers, boxes remain intact. Today is shopping day so she will get a new paper bag.  No doubt that will make her day. She still tries SO HARD to get outside during our warmer days, she runs from window to window hoping maybe those screen have disappeared.  Yesterday she succeeded once: she is very quick and very good at leaping out the door, through those few inches of that opening... I know.... she needs a catio.... She continues too to pound on all glass and plastic surfaces. What a hoot. Still walking the railing and the frig door. Crazy fun Lola! Bug continues to warm up to company more and more as the days go by. Sure is nice to see that. He has come to sit by William at times when he sleeps. hat so reminds me of Mannie and Nicholas. Elsa is still dong well, darn active for an almost 18 year old. She sleeps alot, but what the heck: part of being a cat. She' continues to be a very good lap cat of late: nice! With the warm weather she has been out in the yard alot. Lola is SO JEALOUS!!, and lets me know it whenever she sees Big Sis out in the yard. It is interesting that Bug just doesn't seem to mind at all. He is more than content to be a house cat. Kitties are good, and All are sound asleep as I write this.... Stay good kitties! Normalcy in MusketeerVille!

Have a great day everyone! I am off to get those chores done, do my laundry, fill the kitty pantry, and try and relax some. No rains today and abundant sunshine, so I hope to get out on a through the woods to the shore walk. YAHOO! Made it last weekend. It is so nice that the woods and the shore are as close as they are! The walks there have been great. There is alot to do today too to be ready for William's birthday party and Erin's BBQ tomorrow. It looks like this will be a busy day.

KITTIES! Remember: think BLUE, think GREEN cat_pet_icon

Re: 6/7 LOOSE LIPS: We've been busy!! HAPPY CATURDAY LL!!

Hi Michelle,
A busy week is an understatement for sure! The hike views and the RR tunnel are magnificent. Did you have to go back through the tunnel? Other hikers there?
Nicholas's swimming is impressive. I hope he'll want to take lessons when he feels the need. He's a natural. Happy 1st birthday to William. He looks so much like Nicholas in that second photo. Enjoy the family celebration tomorrow. Happy birthday to your DD, too.

The pics of Elsa, Bug and Lola are really neat. Rusty is so happy that they could come to camp today. Kitties are having a ball.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend,

Ella & Rusty

Re: 6/7 LOOSE LIPS: We've been busy!! HAPPY CATURDAY LL!!

Hi Michelle. I just wanted to stop by and say Hi. I'm fighting a sinus headache so I only scanned your condo. I'll read it later. I'm glad Nicholas still loves his swimming. Happy Birthday to William.

Re: 6/7 LOOSE LIPS: We've been busy!! HAPPY CATURDAY LL!!

Happy Saturday night everyone! WooHOO! The weather here is magnificent, and I am so looking forward to a great sunset. Paws crossed! it is 73 and sunny here today, with a few very high very hazy clouds. I have no complaints. It has just been a very busy one... what with the normal Saturday stuff, and having to get all for the party(s) tomorrow. The grocery store blew the budget I swear for the next month. what in the world has happened to prices?  @-) sheessshhhh! We are now decorated, wrapped, bought, all that stuff for William's Party tomorrow. PAWS CROSSED BIG TIME that Lola will leave the decor alone.... i dunno: it is full of streamers and balloons and ribbons. I keep hoping that maybe she won't see it. :? I just have the food stuff left to do and that will be tomorrow morning. I should do it tonight, but well, I'd like a night off, and what I have to do is quick, so tomorrow morning.... I managed a short walk/trek through the woods this afternoon too. That was really nice, warm and sunny, and that alwyas brings that place to life. It was a nice relaxing time out and about, sorely needed today. :-D :-D :-D  I hope you all have a great evening!!

Hi Ella ~O) ~O) ~O) THX on the hike pics. That RR tunnel was cool, I really liked it. And yes, I had to go back the same way - back through the tunnel again. And no on other hikers, just me. There were three groups of bikers though, but they pass through that fairly quickly. THX on Nicholas's swimming too. I think he does so well, so we have decided to truly let him call the shots. He will decide when he wants lessons. He loves this so much that neither of us want to change that. Forcing him just wouldn't be good. All comes in due time as they say, So for now, I will do what I can. I have a very dear friend who coaches swimming, so if I need guidance I know he would help. THX too on William - and I agree: he does look like Nicholas at that age. Lola and bug and Elsa vanished several hours ago, out the door with a see you later we are off to camp stu! I so hope they are behaving themselves. Thanks so much too on their photos. :-D

Hi Carla ~O) ~O) ~O) I a so sorry you have a headache, and a sinus one to boot. I hope that you feel better soon. Tanks for taking the time to look at the condo. Me too on Nicholas! I am so glad that his love of the [pool has not wavered. I cannot believe that William is now 1!

Re: 6/7 LOOSE LIPS: We've been busy!! HAPPY CATURDAY LL!!

I just got caught up on all your activities. You've been busy. I bet Nicholas was thrilled to find all those berries. That's great he shares with William. It looks like they have a blast at all the places you take them. I missed you were celebrating Erin's birthday too. Happy Birthday to Erin.

I'm glad all the kitties are doing well. One day you'll get that catio built.

Wow on the RR tunnel. I don't know if I would have wanted to go in it.

Re: 6/7, 6/8 LOOSE LIPS: Happy Birthday William!!!

Good Morning LL! ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) (YUM! I Love coffee!), and Happy Birthday William,and Erin!!
LL! It's is I, Elsa, KBP!, president and CEO of Coffee Cat! Life is GOOD! Coffee is on, Lola and Bug , founders of Paw Prints Pizza, are ready to go! Want pizza? it is MEGA GOOD! They are busy getting ready for.... uh.... I dunno! but there sure is a flurry of activity in the kitchen. Oh WAIT! YEWS!! I knows! it is William's and his mom Erin's birthday! and we are having a big party. Paw Prints Pizza has been asked to make some of their signature pies, but uhhhhh.... without the nip. heeheehee. :-D so. well. anyways. ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) Coffee time! For today, I proudly offer Elsa's special 10 hour energy coffee, and triple shot espresso, beans from the heart of central Ethiopia. For my mocha fans: Venti Quad orange and vanilla mocha, laced with orange swirls, topped with chocolate whip, garnished with orange zest, slivered vanilla beans and chocolate swirls....... and orange drizzle! SWEET!, and perfect for a spring day. OH! No worries, a dollop of orange and vanilla and chocolate and caramel swirl ice cream, on top of a dollop of fudge, and a chocolate caramel drizzle.... Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh....... mega good!

Happy Sunday to all of LL. I hope all of you are having a great day. It is party central here today. Friday was William's first birthday and today we will have a party for family friends and distant relatives so that all may come and wish him a happy first. Today is my daughters birthday as well, so later this afternoon there will be a family BBQ. Wow - one big long party day here. I hope I survive!  William came so close to being born on my daughter's birthday... kinda cool! I had decorated last night: streamers, balloons, ribbons, all that festive stuff. I so hoped as I was putting it up that Lola would ignore it, and I'd wake up to an intact party scene. I decided early on to put her in the office area where she could amuse herself with the outdoors, i open screened windows and chirping birds, scampering squirrels. Hoping all the while that out of sight, out of mind really worked. I am elated to report that she did leave it alone. Way to go Lola! Off we go-it is party time!

Morning Carla ~O) ~O) ~O) THX on all, and yes on Nicholas. He loves to be able to pick berries fresh off of the bushes. It is such a treat for him. I too think it is so cool that he will share with William, makes a point of getting a "really good one" for him. :-D  THX on all the birthday wishes. it should be alot of fun today, chaotic  fun, but still fun! THX on the kitties... after juggling Lola all day yesterday and fighting so to speak with her to keep her in I am more than determined now to get that done, even if I have to hire someone. ;-) I agree on that RR tunnel. it was a bit intimidating, but an experience as well. I'm glad I went, but not too sure I'd make a point of doing it often.

Re: 6/7, 6/8 LOOSE LIPS: Happy Birthday William!!! and Erin!

Hi Michelle :-D
I am just stopping by to say:

Re: 6/7, 6/8 LOOSE LIPS: Happy Birthday William!!! and Erin!

Happy Birthday William and Erin! Sounds like a fun, fun day lined up!!!

I have to say...reading about that RR tunnel freaked ME out...but I do get a bit claustrophobic when I can't see.

I can't wait for the day that Nick finally decides he does want those swim lessons...he's going to be awesome!

I hope you've had a wonderful celebration today!

Re: 6/7, 6/8 LOOSE LIPS: Happy Birthday William!!! and Erin!

Normalcy all around. :-D  Happy Birthday, William and Erin! I'm sure everyone is having fun at the party, even Bug. :-D

Re:6/7-9 LOOSE LIPS: Happy Cheery CHerry Monday LL, and THX!

Good Morning LL!! ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) (Elsa - lots (!!) please! This bean is so sleepy...), and Happy Cheery Cherry Monday
LL! It's is I, Elsa, KBP, kitteh barista pilot!, president and CEO of Coffee Cat! Life is GOOD! GUESS WHAT! Today is CHEERY CHERRY MONDAY!! Lola and Bug, aka Paw Prints Pizza, are making their cheery cherry pizza pies. It is after all Monday, and that is now tradition! Anybody up for a cherry pizza? so. well. anyways. ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) Coffee time! For today, I proudly offer Elsa's special 10 hour energy coffee, and Double shot espressos, with beans from deep within the mountain slopes of Africa, AND.... for all my Mocha fans: a VENTI Quad cherry infused white mocha/mocha blend with white chocolate chips melted within, topped with a cherry whip garnished with candied cherry sprinkles and white chocolate curls. SWEET! OH! No worries, a dollop of cheery cherry and chocolate swirl ice cream, on top of a dollop of fudge, topped with crystallized cheery cherries and chocolate drizzle.... Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh....... mega good! We gots CHEERY CHERRY CHEESECAKE too! as well as cheery cherry frappes! I love cheery cherry Mondays.

Morning everyone! I hope your weekend has been a good one. We had such a great day here yesterday - what with it being a celebration of William's First Birthday on Friday, and Erin's Birthday on Sunday. He had an "all day"party thing here yesterday, with a anyone welcome party for William at noon, and a family BBQ for Erin later in the day. We got lucky with the weather - clouds at first, but by noon it has all burned off, we had 70 degrees under sunny clues skies. William's party was a bit hectic, but all had a great time. Good friends with good food (pizza, salsa, and lots of fruit). William wasn't too sure what to make of all those people, that cake with a candle and then "that song" he was, much like big bro Nicholas was at one, a crier! There is a video in the photo album for this party. The afternoon before the BBQ was a relaxing one. Nicholas, William and Erin and I sent sometime out in the yard. Behold, tucked away in a far corner of the yard, behind the rather tall laurels Nicholas found a huckleberry bush loaded with berries. Who knew? Certainly not me.  The BBQ was great - My son Matt was the chief BBQ'er, with expert help from Anthony, Jason and Erin. I have a new fav food: corn on the cob, BBQ's on the grill, in their husks. wow - so simple and so delicious! My DMIL brought a Ceasar salad, wow! She is a master at it. Not one spec left. :-D It was a great day for all involved, busy yet relaxing. Happy birthday once again to William, and Erin.

I am off to do some local hiking today: at White Chuck River, near the town of Darrington, Mountain Loop Highway area. It is just beyond the area were we had last March that devastating mud slide in the town of Oso. I read about this river hike last week, it sounds great, and I'd love to give it a try. The road has been reopened, so I think I will pay the river there a visit. It should be a good weather day by the time I get there. WooHOO!

Hi Mariko ~O) ~O) ~O) - THX for the visit! I will pass on the greetings to Erin and William. :-D

Hi Amy ~O) ~O) ~O) Many thanks! I will make sure that Erin and William get the greetings. It was really a nice day yesterday, long and busy, but alot of fun too. I know on that RR tunnel. ALot of folks that saw the pics said the same thing. Not for anyone that is claustrophobic, or feels enclosed etc in the dark. it is along distance to walk in total darkness! Me too on the lessons, When he does decide to take them I know he will jst fly through the classes.

Hi Liz ~O) ~O) ~O) Many thanks for teh birthday wishes. I will pass them along. It was great time. Lola was in her element, Elsa we never did see, and Bug let his curiosity get the better of him, came up for a few visits, and split each time four little kids came after him.   He was much better when it was just family that he knew, later on in the evening.

Re: 6/7-9 LOOSE LIPS: Happy Cheery Cherry Monday LL, and THX

You wear me out just reading everything! I think it's a great idea to let Nicholas go at his own pace. He certainly isn't being held back by your instruction! ;-) :-D :-D

Have you thought of getting something like a screened gazebo for Lola? http://www.sears.com/outsunny-10'-x...M7891064127?prdNo=16&blockNo=16&blockType=G16 Not a terribly expensive way to start out. And you can use it for family parties too!

Re: 6/7-9 LOOSE LIPS: Happy Cheery Cherry Monday LL, and THX

I missed it all too.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY WILLIAM AND ERIN!!

Sounds like it has been crazy busy there as always, but what fun. Time just flies on by. I had to laugh at William crying for the "Happy Birthday." I remember when Nicholas did that too. Silly boys. Hardly seems possible.

Have a great day Michelle!

Re: 6/7-9 LOOSE LIPS: Happy Cheery Cherry Monday LL, and THX

What a great party! Looks like the family was having the best ever time. The food looks scrumptious. Bravi everyone!!

Love all the pics, especially William eating corn on the cob. And the pic of Lola on the railing.

Hope you had a good hike today, Michelle. After putting on that party I'll bet it was great to get out for some R&R.

Enjoy the evening. Elsa, Lola and Bug were a great help at camp this weekend.

Good Morning LL ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) (LOTS! I just love ~O) ), and Happy TUNA Tuesday!

In honor of Tuna Tuesday, once again Lola and Bug, aka Paw Prints Pizza, will make their famous triple tuna pies, with tuna and nip infused crust, tuna toppings, and now triple tuna infused cheese. YUMMMMMMMM! It's tradition!, and these pizza pies totally rock! and as a side benefit we have TUNA WATER too! so. well. anyways. ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) Coffee time! For today, I proudly offer Elsa's special 10 hour energy coffee, and triple shot espresso, beans from the heart of central Ethiopia. and for my mocha fans: Venti Quad orange and vanilla mocha, laced with orange swirls, topped with chocolate whip, garnished with orange zest, slivered vanilla beans and chocolate swirls....SWEET! OH! No worries, a dollop of orange and vanilla and chocolate swirl ice cream, on top of a dollop of fudge, topped with crystallized oranges and chocolate drizzle.... Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh....... OH! forget it... no tuna mochas. BLECH!

Good morning everyone! I'm sorry I missed the posts from yestrday, and figure I had better answer them today, while I have a few minutes. What whirlwind few days here, what with the birthdays this weekend, and my hiking adventure yesterday. I cannot believe that it is Tuesday already, and tomorrow the boys are back.... :-D :-D :-D So.... on that hiking adventure..... Yesterday for me was nothing short of an adventure. OMG etc.... I went hiking up by Darrington, to White Chuck Bench, and could not find that trailhead for the life of me. Directions seemed simple enough. but as one knows one wrong turn and well, you are toast. Which is what happened to me. Spent close to an hour and half on every FSR there was in that area, still couldn't find it. Even ended up on one that was undoable, had to back out, which was not fun: a single very narrow road. NUTS! Anyways, after a bit I decided this sucked, it was already noon and back to the point of departure: Mtn Loop Hwy. Reread the directions and after much thought realized that the dumbass that wrote the directions wrote them in cumulative miles, not mileage form point to point. AIYEE! and LMAO. After that - found it with ease, I'd driven right past it when I got there. nothing like be 20 miles off your mark, again, another HAHA. The trail was nice - very woodsy. it is part of the Washington trails assn work party group and is being redone after a total washout back in 2003/4. It will be good when done. not much river access, which was disappointing, but maybe that will come with the part that isn't done yet, So... had fun, had a great adventure, and sometimes that alone makes the day worthwhile.HAHA: even was chased and "attacked" by a large bird (grouse maybe?) who was defending her babies. I had walked into her path. What a ruckus she made. So I stopped, let her gather her little ones, and be on her way before I moved. HAHA. That was fun. I drove all of the MTN Loop HWY home, all 60 miles of it, with several stops along the way to watch the river. I loved that. It was gorgeous there. The photo album linked above includes photos fro my wanderings while lost. Included too are shots from the devastating Oso mudslide. The hike itself are the photos after the trail sign.

Morning Deborah ~O) ~O) ~O) THX for thew B'day wishes. I shall pass them on. Oh yes on those boys getting so big. Nicholas is such a great young boy and William just is no longer a baby. He too looks now like a little boy. THX on all. Te hike was great and the boys are doing very well, such fun it all is. Thx on this week: another busy one shaping up!

Morning Ann and John ~O) ~O) ~O) no worries! I shall pass along the b'day wishes. What a fun day it all was: two birthdays in one day. @-) :-D  Love the smilies! :-D THX on Nicholas: I think it is the right decision too, he will be ready for instruction when he is, and we really do not want to loose the fun aspect. Interesting idea on the gazebo tent. That might work too! Enclosed and protected some what from the elements, and that would work well here. Sure is alot cheaper too. Many thanks for the link, and the idea. Something we could all use to! COOL!

Morning Melissa ~O) ~O) ~O) Ditto: no worries on this end. I will make sure they get the wishes. It has been a good week, and I could not agree more: time flies by so fast. I so wish I could slow it down some. I so know on the Crying William - just like big bro. Love it all, even those meltdowns. He eventually settled enough that he ate some f his cake. GO WILLIAM!

Morning Ella ~O) ~O) ~O) Many thanks - it was a good party, both of them. made for a very busy day, but we all had a great time. William's went very well, a decent crowd, and no leftovers! yahoo! The BBQ was always fun - the kids cook, and it was really good. Love grilled corn on the cob. William loves it too - his eyes just lit up when we have him his. oh yes on Lola on that railing. Scary, but she does it all the time. There was a fly up there, and she had to have it! Silly cat. THX on the hike - it was an adventure, but you are so tight: it felt great to be out on a trail. It is perfect R&R for me,
Auntie Ella!!!! We had a blast. I LOVES camp Stu, just as much as Mannie did. Major cool! ~~ Elsa

Hi Carla ~O) ~O) ~O) We did! fun parties, and we had enough time in between them both that we could unwind from one before gearing up for the next. :-D The hike was good - an adventure for sure, but also a very nice time out.

ENJOY YOUR TUESDAY LL!! I am off in a few, after house cleaning, to spend some time in Seattle. Coffee with my friend, and should time permit, a few minutes at the Pike place Market. I love that place n spring/summer. it is always bustling with activity.

Have fun in the city! You have never had grilled corn on the cob before????? :o OMG The biggest food tent at the MN State Fair was the grilled corn on the cob. Also the healthiest, as opposed to the deep fried cheese curds!   They actually had the longest line!

Ann... yes I am admitting with a red face that I've ever had grilled corn on the cob still husked etc. Best darn stuff ever!!! and where have I been? Obviously not with the program!  LOL on the deep fried cheese curds....
