Hello all!
Willy is very happy today. He enjoyed having Evo mixed in with his FF today. He has been very affectionate this weekend and has spent a lot of time cuddling with me and DH and rolling around ON his nanner. Rasta, who doesn't like when his food sticks to the bottom of his bowl, came and mewed at me to fix it (normally he just leaves the kitchen and gives up) so I know the Evo was a big hit with him.
Gizmo figured out finally how to jump the baby gate that we use to give the cats their own space this weekend. Every time we came home he was one the wrong side! Naughty goggie!!! He sorta hops up and does a superman belly flop and corrects his feet just before hitting the ground. I wondered when he was going to learn he could do it because he jumps really really high and far naturally and on a normal basis. He is also shockingly dexterous when he wants to be. It's a quirk of his breed that many people are shocked to witness!
We have had a very busy weekend this weekend. I have been "studying" some stuff I was given for my interview on Wednesday and I have been working on facing my greatest fear/phobia which is driving (not afraid of being in cars but I am afraid of the actual driving including go-karts and golf carts). During the years, I have tried a number of tactics to tackle it, but nothing has really been able to outweigh my fear response (which includes shaking, crying, hyperventilating, getting really hot, etc) . Last week Monday if you would have told me I WOULD drive this weekend (and furthermore-- I would drive through the single busiest intersection on the busiest street to get DQ), I would have had a panic attack. I have progressed leaps and bounds thanks completely to my DH and have been driving on the freeway and through town (and I have only been at it for 2 days!). I am still very very scared and uncomfortable but I am taking it one thing at a time and in short bursts with the help of my DH who has been an emotional and mental anchor. I think his trust in my ability to do it is making me trust myself enough to keep trying.
I am hoping to catch up with everyone and checking in with condos either today/tonight or tomorrow! Even though we haven't been around or able to check in on everyone, we have been thinking of you all and sending out lots of positive energy and prayers for all our friends.
Happy Monday!
