After staying up as long as I could helping Phoebe with a new low pre-shot, Jack decided he wanted some attention as well and headed for open waters:facepalm:. The depot really had some momentum behind it and he got down to 47 before getting carbed up. I'm actually happy to see a blue today after the last few nights. He is either finally responding to the BCS or starting a bounce. I'm leaning towards the BCS theory, but with Jack anything is possible.

I had to pick up a few cases of food and my local pet shop guy needs some wireless internet help so I get to use my brain for some free cat food... Woot! I like helping him out whenever I can since he is a rare find, a nice small business owner who knows his customers and their pets and has a bad habit of giving out free toys for his furry friends.

Hope all the kitties and beans are doing good and surfing safe today.

Cats! They know the perfect timing. :D:rolleyes: I hope you got some sleep last night.

Cool on helping the local pet store owner. I did some work for the local raw food manufacturer a couple years ago, credit in food. It feels good to help the locals.

I hope you got some sleep last night.
Between Jack and helping out with Phoebe, not nearly enough:( Hopefully tonight is a little less exciting.

How did you know to do that when 2 days before you kept him at 23u on a similar green day?
A little bit of luck, a little bit of knowing my boy, no magic formula unfortunately. The recent green run for him was unusual, so that had me on alert. 6/4 in the pm cycle he hit 42 which earned him a reduction. 5 hours later at amps he was 192. I thought it was a bounce starting so I shot through what I thought was the start of a bounce(in hindsight it wasn't).
The 14u was a one time depot draining shot before starting the new dose. I'm blaming the IAA and the large depot on the delayed response to the BCS, even with that 14u he hit light green again last night. Today, on more insulin, he popped up into the blues and hung out. As the depot builds back up I expect to see some low blue/green in the next couple of cycles.

IAA can be very unpredictable and changes can happen fast. With acro the tumor will slowly ramp up or down. IAA can have sudden die offs and release a lot its captured insulin at once sending the BG #'s plummeting.
