Yesterday's Condo

No morning antics to report. Today is a vetty visit. I love the vet practice I use. They know how poorly Gabby travels. (They know because they've kindly cleaned the pukus out of the carrier!) Every so often, my vet does housecalls. They have another cat owner in my area who I think is unable to travel (or has a lot of cats) and they routinely make a housecall. The office called and asked if I'd like to schedule the vet, as well. So, my vet will be by this afternoon for Gabby and Gizmo's check-ups.

NICE (!!!) on the house calls - what I would give for that. How nice. Good luck with their checkups. I need to do Mannie again soon: BW time, as well as the dreaded check on "do we need another dental?".... I hope they both pass vetty!

and Gabby - what is up with that +3 - wrong way - best turn around.

Gabby is in the same boat as Mannie -- the "Is a dental needed?" boat. And, we'll find out if brushing Gizmo's teeth has had the desired effect of keeping his toofis bright and shiny.

And yes, Michelle, I agree -- Gabby is heading the wrong way. I don't know if she read that the dreaded vet is coming for a visit or if this is in response to the rather precipitous drop in numbers last night. I suspect the latter. Gabby showed no interest in reading her condo this morning.

Oh my! An at home vet visit? That would be heavenly. Turnup and Tarragon both freak out going to the vet.

Where is Gabby going? Tell her she needs to turn around and get back here!

The vet has been here. Both Gabby and Gizmo were given a big thumbs up in terms of their physical exams. Gizmo was charming. There was only one small spot of tartar and no gingivitis so the tooth brushing is doing the job. Gabby was scared. Her head was buried in either my arm or the vet tech's arm. She does need a dental but her mouth looked far better than the last time. Blood work will be back tomorrow.

I guess Gabby still get stressed by the vet no matter what the venue. Yeesh.

poor Gabby! i guess vet is vet no matter where they are. I had hoped that maybe being home would be easier for them. YAY on both kitties passing their exams! Nice too that Gabby's mouth was better. I dread having Mannie's looked at... I so do wish he'd let me brush. I do however want to keep my fingers.

Gabby -vet is gone now, no need to stay on the pink floor. Down you go.

Glad you got a good report on the teefies. Poor Gabby......she doesn't like the vet no matter where she is but what a good mama that you had them come to her. I hope the bloodwork all comes back beautiful. And now, Gabby, time to come back down!!! The crisis is over.

That's great they both got good reports on their exams; so Gabby needs a dental! So the brushing paid off for Gizmo's teeth. That gives me more incentive to learn brushing teeth for Maggie. Oh boy!

House calls would be great! You're so lucky.
What do you brush your guys teeth with? Fax has always gotten a thumbs up on his teeth but our other guy, Angus, always gets two thumbs down in that department.
