Hi all,
Late report, but in case things get dicey for us tonight, here's a recap since last condo:
Yesterday:

Today:

Tessie has not had a dose change for months, yet her numbers have been slowly coming down over the past few weeks, since she recovered from her pancreatitis flareup. So, here we are at a new record low for PMPS, and because she historically does not drop much from her nightly dose of Lantus, I opted to go ahead and shoot this 122 tonight. I will be monitoring closely, but just in case things go wacky through the night, I thought it best to start a condo now, at not quite +1.

This is exciting, and kinda scary too. It is such a relief to have wise eyes and caring hearts watching...0 (that last digit was Tessie helping me--she knows something big is happening!) :razz:

good for you - those low shots keep their numbers low and help them heal. kinda exciting! and you're ready with supplies so no matter what, she's going to be fine.

Hi Sandy, as the experts say, as long as you have plenty of strips, HC gravy, Karo and coffee you're on top of everything. Congrats on shooting low!

thx julie, yes, i've got every % carb food from 3 to 15%, but i wont know what to give til i see her numbers. i'm typing one handed as she is laying on my other arm. :lol:

i'll post for advice when/if i need to intervene with food...

Thx, too, Ella and Trixie's mom. I'm good to go. Now watch, it will be a dud. Like I said, she rarely drops more than 20-30 points through the night for some reason...

Thanks, Laurie, I did a +1, and it was 150. I'll be doing a +2 at 10pm Central Daylight Time.

Glad to see you, Sienne, thanks. I just reread the guidelines, and I think because of Tessie's pancreatitis bout, I'm going to stick with her LC food (Merrick Cowboy Cookout) and add a drop of Karo if she drops too low (<50). I do have the Fancy Feast Gravy Lovers on hand, but I don't really want to introduce new foods if not necessary.

I can't blame you about the food....karo in her regular food is fine. I believe Sienne does that with Gabby because too much gravy upsets her tummy.

That's exactly what I do. You'll have to figure out how much Karo to measure but it works just fine.

Sounds good. I've read to add one drop Karo to one teaspoon, is that right?

Tessie usually gets an 11pm snack of 1.0 oz, so I'll test first (that will be +3), then feed her. I'll be shocked if she is headed down before +4 or so, but then again, this seems to be a new ballgame lately.

I think you will have to experiment with how much karo to add, it depends on your kitty. When I use karo, I add it to a tsp of gravy for numbers below 40, and I use one or two drops, depending on how low Tinkles is. Otherwise, I just use gravy or MC.

I see she's heading up...good data gathering!

Laurie, yes, I think you're right about experimenting wtih the karo. I don't really think she'll go very low tonight, but as of +4 she may be headed down now. Think I'll get a +6 next.
