Hi Everyone! Well we reached a month! Yay!!! I can't believe how fast it has gone!! Scrabble's numbers have been fabulous, he stays in the 60's most of the time. I was testing every day when he first came otj but now I test every couple of days.
I miss everyone so much and I hope you all know I am thinking about you and I try to stop by at least once a day to see how all my old friends are doing. Even if I don't post in your condo, know that we are thinking of you!!!
I took a mini-vaca last week for the first time since Scrabble was diagnosed. I was very nervous about leaving him! My mother-in-law came by twice a day to feed them and both kitties were fine. I tested Scrabble when I got back and he was the same number as when I left (66) so I was pretty proud!
The only weird thing that has happened since his otj is the past couple of days he has had some liquid poo and vomiting. I took him to the vets today and everything was normal as far as his temp/heartrate/belly felt normal. The vet was unsure why he was feeling sick. She thought it could be a hairball. So I decided to wait to see if it will pass and if he doesn't get better I will take him next week to have bloodwork. The positive is he has not vomited or had liquid poo in about 12 hours so I think this is a good sign. His bg levels are normal and he has a good appetite.
So other than that, Scrabble has had a great month and he has been so energetic and playful!! His mamabean couldn't be any more proud!!

So good hearing from you and Scrabble. I was just about to pm you to ask about Scrabble! Is it a month already? Congratulations! I miss you and Scrabble, too, and glad to have you stop by every day. I am sorry to hear about his liquid poo and vomit. Has this been just since you returned from your mini vacation? The reason I ask is that my Siamese that crossed over used to get so stressed when I would take a mini vacation that he would vomit. Any change from his routine would upset him. He didn't even like me having overnight company! I hope it's nothing and Scrabble gets back to normal. That is so great to hear about his BG. I'll bet your Vet is amazed at Scrabble!

Yay for 60's =) I was just coming to post Tugger's pretty 63! Sorry Scrabble isn't feeling 100% right now. Darn hairballs! Hope he feels better soon!

congrats on your one month!!! Indeed this is very good news.

The pukus and poo could be many things - change in food, flavor, brand, change of the food formula, him eating something he shouldn't - bugs, plants, etc.



CONGRATS!!!!!!!

Hey Scrabble! Yesterday I had a case of "Gigantahairballitis". Maybe that's what you have. Tess and Mannie made me some chicken soup and the hairball came out (along with some weeds I had eaten). Would you like me to send you some of those special weeds? Maybe Tess will make you some chicken soup. I could make you some, too, but Tess seems to have the best recipe to cure hairballitis.

Hey you guys! So nice to read that Scrabble report this morning! You helped me got out of my funky mood... :lol:
For us still in the throes of this dance, it's nice to hear good news sometimes! Isn't it wonderful to return and see the same nice steady low numbers? Nothing bad happened to his remission while you were away. Good for YOU and good for him! Yay!!

Great to hear how Scrabble is doing! And I love that you finally have the freedom to go on a little vacation and Scrabble is just fine.

Morning everyone, well DH woke up to a huge hairball this morning so I am hoping that it was Scrabble!! He seems pretty happy this morning and was ready to chow when I got up! Thanks for the well wishes! It is so nice to have a condo today!

Thanks for visiting Sara's condo. You beat me to it, I was just going to visit Scrabble's when I saw that I had a message. :smile:

Miss you guys too!! So glad that Scrabble is doing so good. Just keep an eye on him with the pukus. But I'm sure he's fine and just had a hairball or something just did'nt agree with him.

Nice to see you had a little mini vacation. It must have felt kinda weird leaving and not having to see somebody through the shots/tests.

Just know that we are thinking of you and Scrabble and the gang. Goes for DH too. After all he was a lot of help in this to you.

Wow, I continue to be amazed by Scrabble and how quickly he went OTJ! Are you getting more sleep? That is great that no more puking or liquid poo! Those hairballs can be a pain to long haired kitties. My boy Siamese kitty used to have them, too!
 
What a terrific report - for all of you! Glad he's obviously feeling better. Hope you enjoyed your get-away.
 
Happy 1 month anniversary. I cannot beleive where the tme has gone.
I am glad that the pukus has subsided.
I do not have much experience with the liquid poo though.
I hope it will pass very soon.
 
I must have missed you and Scrabble by a week when I joined. Great job, Scrabble! I hope the litterbox situation gets better soon and it's one of those things that means nothing that makes kitty mamas nervous.
