Hi everyone,
Boy am I ever late tonight. I was out on a hike (12 miles) all day and then we had pizza with our friends. Then Rusty and I had to have our schmooze.
Rusty had a great night last night sleeping between his beans under a very heavy quilt (we don't have much heat inthis cabin). Today he had a great day with his papabean hunting chipmunks, lolling about in the sunshine, and just being a great kitty. He was so happy to see me when I got back from the hike that he treated me to 10 minutes of kisses and squirms. He had a good +11 green! This was i lieu of PMPS because of the pizza, but he had his PM shot at the usual time.
Our hike took us through a very old, early second-growth forest with the most amazing, huge yellow birch trees. We went to a lovely point on Racquette Lake where one of the Great Camps was located (it is now a primitive campground, but not yet open for the season, so we had it to ourselves).
Very tired tonight so I'll close. Thanks for all the visits yesterday. Sorry I havent gotten to many condos. Tomorrow it's going to rain, so we'll go to the Adirondack Museum in Blue Mt.Lake and then we are taking our friends (who are also our caretakers here) out to dinner.
Thinking of you all and your kitties,
Ella & Rusty
