I don't think I'll make it to your +5. If you have something with some medium carb content I would give her a tsp of it. More to keep her surfing in the high greens since they are still new to her but also in case she gets lower then you are comfortable with and no one is on the boards.

Great minds. Thank you good night :)

Wow--- I'm looking at Phoebe's spreadsheet from last night and... are we sure June Phoebe is the same cat as pre-June Phoebe??? It's like a switch has been flipped!

High-dose folks: is this typical? I know we've been tentatively guessing acro for Phoebe because of other traits, but is this rapid transformation what you'd expect or does it seem more like IAA when the antibodies finally get overwhelmed? It's really amazing, whichever it is!

Yes, pretty common to hit that break through dose. Another possibility is the tumor pulsing slowed down a little putting out less of the hormone that interferes with insulin getting into the cells. Jack has done this numerous times, you can see a strip of green for a few days, then back up into higher numbers.

It could be a combination of both.

I've always read that IAA takes around a year to resolve. You see some weird one off quick drops where some of the antibodies die and release their insulin. IAA cats also tend to delay their reaction to insulin a bit. When I give Jack R insulin, he responds more the next cycle then the cycle he got the R in. It doesn't really look like IAA to me, but my crystal ball is still in the shop.
