Yesterday, green PS's with some other stuff  in the middle. At least today she didn't head up as far this morning.

6/4 Recap:
AMPS 91  +3 220 +9 101
PMPS 86  +3 133 +9 104

It's another sunny day and Miss Purry is out holding down her bed in the solarium. Sunny and warm here means mid 70's with a breeze, so quite pleasant. She did want out on the deck for 5 minutes after breffs - nose pointed in the breeze. Neko's been giving me lots of purrs last night and today - I love it when I can get her going in second gear. She has quite a loud rumble. It's one of my favorite sounds that I've recorded on my phone.

It's a hang around chore day for me, lawn mowing, moving dirt, maybe pressure washing. DH borrowed the car to go flying. Sigh, it would be pretty up there today but harder for both of us to go with Neko in nice numbers.

Wendy, with Lev, with what numbers do you feel safe leaving Neko for several hours and how many hours in? For example, with Max on lantus, if he is above the high 90's at +6.5 I feel safe leaving until his PMPS, especially if he slides down slowly. If I saw your numbers I would feel good going out or to sleep at night. I'm trying to get a feel for how lev works. Thanks.

Re: 6/5 Neko AMPS 83 +3 169

Elise, part of the comfort level depends on how the cat looks on Lev, and when they onset and nadir. If you look at JD's SS, he's got quite a different look to his cycles than Neko does. Neko also varies her nadir so I have to take that into consideration. However, she is MUCH flatter on Lev than on Lantus. At night I can go 3 hours between tests if she's surfing the 80's but at most one hour when she was on Lantus. Neko typically onsets around +5.5. So, if she's going up around +2 to +4, like today, I'm good leaving her until late in the cycle. Her nadir on that pattern is likely to be later in the cycle (+9 to +12). As it turns out, 4 days out of 7 I'm up around +9 in the morning to go rowing, so I'm up anyway. And since Neko doesn't really drop fast, if she's high enough at my before bed test then I can sleep through the night.

I also look at the cycle before hand. If Neko's dropping from her +9 to PS, the cycle will most likely be different that if she is rising to PS.

Other kitties on Lev here to look at are Rusty, Tess, Gracie, Juno, Bisse. For a completely different look, Libby/Lucy had a kitty KK that had a Lev cycle that looked like Lantus.

Good job, Neko! "solarium" was one of the words in the crossword today, thank you for the help. Perfect weather!

I wish everyone could purr - such a comforting sound. Good idea to get it recorded. I may have to follow suit on that one. Hope you all have a good night!

Mr. Green is back and Neko is loving it   . I hope she stays safe in those beautiful greens.

What a great day for Neko!

Yo Neko, yes, bring Theo to camp. We'll put him to work and he can demonstrate "headers" for the gang! See you tomorrow,

What a nice cycle for Neko today.

I love the idea of recording her purrs. Sasha has a lovely, loud purr, and you've inspired me to record it. It just might bring me comfort if things don't go well with her cancer. :?

Too bad you missed the flying. Do you have your own plane or rent? What kind of plane? My DH is a pilot, too, although he hasn't flown in years. My brother flies, too, and he volunteers with the Civil Air Patrol.

I hope Neko gives you another great cycle tonight.

Neko had a great day and night last night, I think this sunshine is helping a lot! Tiger and I go for little walks in the back yard and I honestly think it helps her feel better! And I too love that idea of recording the purring, I need to get started on that too!

WOOT! Back to back days of green PS. Well done Neko. cat_pet_icon Nanners got a good workout this afternoon, she's back outside in the solarium. Not sure what else she did this afternoon. I was doing the lawn, cutting out roots and moving dirt. I'm bagged. But DH brought me a mocha frappe as a consolation prize. :-D

And an exciting event occurred - the big brown moths are back in season.

@Liz - 85 is a bit warm for me, but I guess you are a lot drier there. This weather is about perfect for beans and long haired cats. :-D Especially those in the solarium. ;-)

@Carla - Neko has been particularly purry lately. :-D :-D

@Tara - I find the sound of purring so relaxing - I like just playing it back when I need to de-stress.

@Rhiannon - On Lev, the +3 is sort of what Neko's PS would be on Lantus, so it does make sense that she goes up from current PS. I too am pleased to see her head back to the lagoon.

@Cristina - Still green - TBD what the night brings.

@Ella - Little girl done good today. cat_pet_icon Theo likes to jump up for head butts - ought to be good for headers.
@Rusty - Can hardly wait for camp - I hear you have lots of bugs there too. ~Neko

@Tricia - I recorded Neko's purrs because of the acromegaly. You never know what's going to happen. DH has a 1/5th share in a Cessna 172. He did a pie run today. One of the airports up the valley has a cafe that is known for their pies - over 20 different types each day. Guess what dessert is today. :-D

@Ruth - Exercise is good for the BG's. Neko's a bit stiff, but she still likes to go out for a wander when it's dry. Perfect cat weather here. :-D
