Been MIA as I've been dotting my i's and crossing my t's. Just finishing up the instruction list for MIL to look over before I come down tomorrow and do an insulin "switch off". Thank you all for your help and advice on her dosing and care. I'm starting to feel a bit better about leaving her behind for two weeks. Still a little anxious, but I think it will be ok. I'm probably gonna log in as me at her computer so if she needs help she'll pop in. Her name is Maureen.
I like the idea of the magnifying glass. Even my eyes get fuzzy trying to look at those silly little lines. I believe they have some magnifying glasses there, so I'll make sure to bring it up. Thanks!

Thanks Julie! I decided to start a new thread to respond to ya. Thanks for still thinking of usI was looking for a 6/4 condo, but don't see one, so I'm just going to reply here.
For your m-i-l, i'm thinking of your comment about her weak hands, if she has any vision trouble you might suggest a magnifying lens on a stand. I'm not sure what would help with her hands, but i was just thinking that a lot of people here have trouble seeing to draw up the dose, and one inexpensive solution is one of those magnifiers that are on a stand. I think you can get them at craft stores.
I love it! This is something I would totally do with my parents, but MIL is so worried as it is... I'm a bit more careful about wordingMy son has a wandering spirit, and when it started, I said "just send me a text so i know you're not dead yet." So I get texts now and then and all they say is "not dead yet." That's all I need to hear.
