Yesterday was yellow day. ;-) Mostly due to my intervention. I had a hike planned, would be gone all day, and truly wanted to know that Mannie would not go deep sea diving in search of his favorite mermaids. So... I fed him a 10% MC from the get go, knowing that it would give me the numbers that I was after. It's not my fav thing to do, but I needed to know that I could go and not worry about him. Funny thing: I still worried. sheshhhh.... :lol: Mannie had a decent PM cycle, finding the low blues. Not too bad of a recovery from all those really yummy fuds in the AM cycle. I hope for good things today. Back to business Mannie. Your bean knows you can do it. cat_pet_icon

Mannie is one happy kitty... sunny days, warm sunny days, and the doors are open all day.... He spent last evening, camped out in one of the deck chairs, having whacked one of the civvies to get it. :shock: :lol: I am ever so grateful that I can let him go in and out, and not worry that he will wander. Guess that comes with his being a "senior" and not really having much desire to sow them wild oats. :lol: It should be another great day here, so doors to open soon. While he waits he is spending some serious time with the nanners: they were sort of left in the dust yesterday when he was out , now they need to be reclaimed: chomps :razz: and chews and slobbers :smile: and hugs . Normalcy in MannieLand. oh - the fuds were devoured: his fav: Surf and Turf! Nom nom nom..... .

My friends! WHAT A PARTY last night!! and Disney World!! Boy were we ever late getting home.... heeheehee.... I am still so stoked! I can't wait to get today started! What shall we do? hang out and chillax, or maybe some dune buggys, or hang-gliding, or or or???? Let me Know - I am ready for anything! ~~ Mannie

thanks on the pics. These lakes have the nicest color, each one is a different hue. The one is the back is such an emerald green - very nice.

Nice of Mannie to stay where you needed him to, so you could enjoy your hike! Such a good boy!! ;-) I like how you control his numbers so well with food. Great pictures....love seeing them. I hope he comes back down to the blues later today for you.

Mannie - wow what a party and Disney....I'm whipped. I think everybody had a good time. I up for some chillaxin today....I think riding Space Mountain three times in a row was a little too much fun! The firewaorks were pretty spectacular....I can see why Disney is called the Happiest place on earth. ~Zoe

Hi Michelle, Looks like it's shaping up to be a flat-yellow day. Aftereffects of the party and Disney World?

Your pictures are great. What an interesting hike that must have been. I like the emerald lake. Here, a short carry from Oseetah Lake, is a small pond (Pine Pond) and the water there is that emerald green and very clear. We all think it looks like the tropics. It has a resident population of leaches. Edward and some of the other men like to tempt them with their fingers!!

Hi Sherry - that it was - I was grateful that he help the line, and let me take off for a day. thanks on the food thing - Finally got most of it figured out, what to feed when to get whatever response I hope for. Sometimes he will throw me a curve... I was glad that yesterday he didn't. :lol: THx on the photos.

Hi Ella - And yes - sure looks like it will be flat yellow. Looks like Mannie isn't quite ready to get back to business.... and yes on the hike. It is so very different there - I really enjoy hiking the area. Very open, very flat (for the most part) and very different than the forests of our area. Wow on your pond with the leaches. euuwwww..... love the finger tempting... :lol:

ZOE! Me too! I am soooooooooooo beat. But them rides were so fun. heeheehee on the Space Mountain thing. And nobody barfed! I hope we can go back sometime. I liked the fireworks too - do they do that all the time? we don't get that stuff here. see you later for chillaxin'! ~~ Mannie

How lucky is Mannie to be able to spend so much time outdoors when it is beautiful? Looks like he may be saving his best numbers today for tonight!! Funny how he whacked one of the girls to get the deck chair. Mannie!!!! And you are the youngster there!

What gorgeous photos! I know you had a great time and I'm so very glad you got to go!!! I think Mannie did just fine.

Mannie....Tobes and me are pooped too!!! Tobey got dizzy on all those rides with his eye patch on but he said so many girl kitties hit on him because he looked so dashing!!! He liked the Pirates of the Caribbean ride the most!!! We're chillaxin by the pool with the beans today if everyone wants to come hang out!!!

Hi Michelle, that must have been an awesome hike for you. Beautiful scenery with the pictures. It must feel so good to be outdoors and hiking in such a beautiful area. When is your next hike? It's so nice Mannie also gets to go in and outdoors and no leash. You do a great job with the food, too, in watching his numbers.

Lovely pix, the green lake looks like a glacial pool. Amazing when you find so much water in a desert area.

You may want Mannie to come down but he must feel GREAT today!!!! What a nice flat cycle he has had! True, it would be swell if it was blue or green, But it's a very nice cycle just the same! No drops or rises....I like it

Hi Marje - it is nice that Mannie can spend as much time outside as he wants. Lucky kitty! and way too funny on the deck chair. It was one of "his" spots. so he let her know it. Poor Elsa... :lol: :lol: He spent most of the evening out there - I finally has to bring him in when the sun started to set. And yes on the photo location. It's on my must do each year. Mannie did fine, but I still worried.

Hi Ann, and miss Maggie. I really like this hike. It isn't too difficult, not too long, and you can take as long or as little time that you want. Thx on the photos. The link below has been updated with the lot of them. I hope it is viewable for those that aren't on facebook. thx too on the food. Mannie is, for the most part, fairly predictable on what foods do what to him, so that helps alot.

Hi Ann - I should have napped.... Instead I tackled "the yard" which is a mess. made one small dent, so much more to do. Now you watch - now that the bean is tired and didn't nap the kitty will give me numbers to keep me up. :lol: :lol: and yes on those lakes - it is so bloody hot there in the summer, but those lakes, and the waterfalls, remain a constant.

Hi Caryl - that is true - he does feel great - nice and steady and good. He's had a good day - doing all the things he likes to do. flat can be good - I like it cuz it usually means things are coming, action soon to be had.

Hi Melissa - Thanks on the photos. It is weird on the lake colors. It is one of the charms of the place. I did enjoy this one - it makes for a great day hike. very different landscapes that the typical forest/alpine hikes. and yup - I do thank Mannie for his consistency - gave me a chance to take off for a day.

I haven't been on very much this weekend and have missed your Manny reports! Those are really some beautiful pictures...must be spectacular in person!! Champ and Manny are both doing the flat yellow curve tonight it seems! I'm not complaining, mind you. I was able to go to the store and just relax a little.
