I was poking around LL today and noticed there was not a LL for the last few days???
Previous LL: http://www.felinediabetes.com/FDMB/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=44677

Thought I would share what I turned Latte's grass bed into last weekend. Im having problems putting the photos in the post from facebook , so it will need to be an attachment. For some reason I can only attach 1 at a time, so I will post a second time.
I actually cant seem to post any attachments. I will try and figure out a way to show you all.

Well, its a beautiful day here in Mpls. Not sure why Im not out playing in it. Some days are harder than others to get motivated. I am enjoying the back deck, filled with flowers and the bright sun.

New foster kitty is doing well. Im having to give her eye drops and lysine. After all the medications I had to administer with Latte, eye drops were not one. Its been quite the trial and error. :? We hope things clear up in the next week or two. Part of me hopes she will need to get her eye removed soon. I dont know much about eye problems, but I would think she may feel much better in the end. So much for no special needs. And, the vet told me she is only *maybe* a year old. No wonder she is so crazy! bcatrun_gif

Today she was meowing, so I meowed back and got on my bed. She followed, rubbing against me, purring, and holding a conversation. Out of the blue she whacked me with her polydactyl paw smack dab in the eye. Where does a tiny little kitty get the punch and the aim???? :o We went over 72 hrs since the last attack (large scratch on nose), so there is improvement...even if it feels like a set back. I have to admit I shed a few tears wanting MY kitty back after that. Latte was never aggressive or hurtful. We will get there. Time, patience, and love they say (and maybe an animal communicator).

Hope everyone is having beautiful weather like us...and actually out enjoying

I figured out a way!

And of course we cant leave Tippie/Tashi (foster) out, or she may smack me in the other eye! The throne continues to be a favorite cat seat:

(eta: ear clipped due to being a trap, neuter, return. Right eye is not the camera. Thats her 'dead'/blind eye, to be removed at some later date)

And please don't forget the cube!!

When I had to give my guys drops, I had them between my legs and scruffed them, tilted back their head, and put in the drops. Since this was pre-sulfur dip, I was in the bathroom and would do this when sitting on the toilet lid.

Love the pictures!!! I think the cat grass bed is an awesome idea!!! I may have to try something like that for Willie now that we're going to have a backyard!!

Lots of packing done today... probably the most productive overall day that I've had in a long while!! Of course, now I'm exhausted!!! LOL

Have a good night, everyone!

Lovely pics, Carolyn. Latte was so beautiful.
Too bad you got in the way of Tippie's paws. It happens, I guess, with kittens. We had to give Alice eye drops once, but I don't remember it being a problem (she was a stoic).
I'm glad that you had a nice, relaxing day. Mine was exasperating: computer problems while trying to balance the checkbook, still bailing the flood water in the cellar (high water table from the snow melt; this has been going on for 6 weeks now!). Yesterday I was on a bike trip on Grande Isle (VT) in Lake Champlain. Terrible flood damage there. Tomorrow we're going with our Monday Paddling group on one of our favorite paddles: a loop through some lovely ponds and streams with a few carries to liven things up. Edward says he is going to go swimming, but I won't: it's too cold (ice-out was late this year).
Nice to see you back. Have a good evening and I hope that the little ball of energy will realize that beans hurt when they get bopped.

Hey Christie, You'll have lots to do in the garden to help fill up your time once you move into your new house!!!
