icky cloudy day but larry starts at yellow :) good news.

his dandruff had cleared up when he went on wet. it used to be awful awful. his fur got soft and he stopped itching. now the dandruff is coming back, and he itches so bad. always wants to be scratched and chews his paws when u rub him. hes always done that, when he itches and u scratch. i feel bad for him. i know that makes him more restless and unhappy.

Aw... so sorry about Larry's itchiness but very glad to see him on the sundeck with Alska today.

Glad to see Larry start his day so well!

Okay... lets figure out this itchiness. Does he have fleas? Even only one or two can do that.

Is it a food allergy? Does he eat the same flavour food everyday? Have you changed flavours?

no fleas. started abt 10 yrs ago with the dandruff. his ski n is dry. went away when we first started wet food. i heard human diabetics itch so it may be the FD. its mostly in the mornings and night when hes jumpy/restless and hungry and wont be still.

fair enough. It can be a stress reaction too... my poor girl Sammy once licked a patch on her back raw due to being upset.... that was before we realised she was diabetic.

However, it would be worthwhile, if possible, to try another flavour of food... Sammy cant have fish, for example, without getting dandruff.

good to know thanks! he is actually off all the fish and on turkey/gibs now. no difference. i guess its just th e dandruff/stress.
