? 6/5 Jimmy's PMPS 3 radically diff numbers

Something really weird happened while testing his PMPS... first I got a crazy high number of 583 so I tested again immediately from the same blood then got 340. Tested immediately again, same blood and got 420. He was getting impatient with me so I gave him his noms (1.5 oz) and then gave him his shot, tested him a few minutes later in the other ear and got 302. What the heck was that? The meter has been pretty consistent and was purchased in early April. Did I happen to catch some weird blood sugar thing happening??

What type of meter are you using? The 302 and 340 sound in the similar range. Meters can be off up to 20% so the 420 might be somewhere close. Not the first test though.

I'm using Bayer Contour meter. The 302-340 seems more in line with his current trend (fortunately or unfortunately). It was wacky - good thing he is food motivated and was chomping on his chicken, while in record time I was switching out 4 test strips!! Going to take a +1 and see what I get. I rarely test at +1 so I guess this will be more data to add to the SS.

I used to get that every once in a while with that meter when I used it....mine was usually the battery getting weak. Other times it was just haunted...

@Squeaky and KT (GA) Perhaps I'll pick up a spare battery - being a serial poker and all.
