somebody might have had a little breakthrough last night. We saw blue! Of course she is back to pink today, but so far the bounce is surprisingly not much. Hmmm. I hope she can get back to blue soon. Seems like the environment change and the food change (she was on mostly wet at the Center, but still had some dry) are doing well for Miss Jazzy so far.

My project this weekend is to try to get her integrated with the other cats. So far we've done a couple of meet & greets with Sammy & Mickey, because they are more laid back than Lucy. Jazzy hisses and growls, but they ignore her so she eventually calms down. Now I need to get her to come out of her room on her own, and work on an introduction to Lucy.

She is starting to groom herself some, and her coat already looks better than it did a week ago, though we still have a ways to go.

For those looking at Jazzy's spreadsheet, I did go more "German" with dose increases than we usually do in LL. This isn't my first time doing this dance, Jazzy was stuck in flat pink with no movement until last night, and she has previously been on a much higher dose so I was certain that her good dose would not be a small one. Now that she is starting to get some movement, I'll slow down.

Re: 6/5 Jazzy AMPS 254

Yeah for blue! :RAHCAT I hope Jazzy realizes how much better she feels in blue than pink.

Bounce clearing already? That would be nice. I liked the blue and wouldn't mind seeing more of it.

Jazzy had a little snack at +11.25, couldn't help it, she actually came downstairs on her own when she heard me opening cans for the other kitties' dinner, so I had to reward her! Of course she saw all 3 kitties at once and that sort of freaked her out, lots of growling so I ended up giving her most of the reward upstairs in her room. Hopefully she'll try again later. The good thing is that she is the only one hissing and growling, so hopefully she will realize that nobody is going to bother her. I might leave her door open tonight, I'm curious whether she'll come out at night. Now that I'm confident my kitties will behave, I'm not too concerned about anybody getting too aggressive. Jazzy sounds like she is aggressive, but really it's fear and she freezes instead of moving toward anyone.

Here's hoping that you and Jazzy see some blue again really soon! It sure feels good to see a good number.

And good luck with the merging of the kitties' worlds. It can be rough at first, as you know, but usually it's all talk. Hope things go smoothly.

Hope Jazzy gets some blue tonite- Sounds like her hiss(bark) is worse than her bite :-D
How kind of you to have this kitty in your home!! Hope she integrates sometime soon...Food, the ultimate communicator

Hi Libby,

Glad to see that your already seeing some blue with Ms Jazzy. I know shes in very confident hands.

And its nice to see that things are moving along with the meet and greet. Like you said shes just scared. That must have been a surprise when she came out for some food and was faced with the other 3 all at once. I think its better that shes on the scared side. She'll see that nobody wants to hurt her and come out of her shell some.

She probley feels better too. Its always a good sign when they preen.
Thanks for the update. Have a nice sunday.
