Good morning!
AMPS 218 :eek::eek: shooting 1.5

Question: Since Boomer was never much of a bouncer, I have no experience with this......when this bounce breaks (possibly tonight) what is the best way of handling it so that it doesn't cause another bounce (like it did the other night). Feed early to try to keep his numbers from dropping into greens too quickly?

Boomer ate all of his +3 and +9 but left about 1/3 of his +6 last night. He was quiet until 5:00; I think he woke DH up but I was already awake so I called him and he came btb.

Allen ate well overnight too; yesterday we picked up a couple of ff to see if he likes them.

On the menu today: AMPS turkey pate, +3 ff turkey and giblets, +6 and +9 chicken pate

Today I have a newborn session (the one that was postponed from last Thursday) starting in about 1.5 hours so I'd best get moving! I'm not expecting to have a successful session since the baby is now 12 days old but hopefully I'll be surprised :rolleyes:
Back later to visit some condos!

Sorry Boomer is bouncing. I was never very good at feeding to slow the drop and stop bouncing, but that is the idea. Try to catch the drop early and feed to slow him down.

I hope the newborn session goes better than you think it will.

Teasel's a bounce champion as you can see on his SS and I've tried the food intervention to slow a bounce but it doesn't do much for him. Every time I get a +2 that shows a significant drop I feed a small amount of LC food. I have no clear evidence that it does anything to prevent a bounce if that's where he's headed. That's Teasel, though, and he's an extreme case and also not that carb sensitive.

Judy, I'd start getting some +2 test & +4's in. Since Boomer has changed his pattern you might want to change some of your testing times. On 6/1 there was a pretty good drop by +3 and then the doozie by +6. I wonder if the drop on PM cycle on 6/3 at +3, triggered another bounce/ and how much lower he went over night? You may need to give a wee snack at +2 and +4.

Yeah that was totally unlike Boomer; he usually only drops a bit during that time frame and sometimes even goes up. I suspect dosing error for that day, either my error or syringe error. And yeah I think the drop in the PM cycle on June 3 triggered another bounce so tonight I plan to test at +2.....there usually isn't much of a drop at +2 so if there is tonight I will feed and then allow him to eat at +3 as usual. And the rest of my plan will depend on the +3 level :rolleyes:

Hey Judy, I agree with Karen. I love the +2's , always got them so I could intervene with food if necessary.

Wonder if the carb loading he got from Allen's food dish last night is still effecting his numbers?

Probably a bit although I know there wasn't a ton of food left when it was accidentally left down. But I think it partially contained a ff that would not have been low carb.

PMPS 173 shooting 1.5u
On the menu tonight: PMPS turkey pate, +3 turkey pate, +6 ff turkey and giblets +9 fowl ball
Testing at +2 in case bounce breaks tonight.
