Tiggy got a fur shot tonite,, maybe I got 6 units into him.. Surprised to see a green tonite, I thought this dose was stopping working but today also we are trying a different LC so maybe that's the cause. I also wonder how low he dropped today since DH didnt think to test..

Oh and he has the nite yowls again. Not that I am going to get much sleep with bailey anyway I guess..

Hello Wendy!
I just wanted to say, all your cats are so handsome & pretty.
My favorite is Tiggy.

Ginger used to yowl at night too!
I even tested her for hyperthyroidism - twice, but she was clear.
She always started her yowling after I turned the lights off and went to bed.
I decided to give her a short and light playing session before bed, and that got her out of habit!

I have a book on cat's behaviour "Starting from Scratch" written by a certified animal behavior consultant.
According to this book.....

""Yowling, especially at night, is a relatively common behavior in older cats. It can be due to hyperthyroidism, age-related cognitive dysfunction, or confusion due to declining senses. If your older cat has started yowling, make sure she has had a thorough examination, including appropriate diagnostic tests to rule out any underlying medical cause. To ease her mind during the night, conduct a low intensity play session so she'll be more inclined to sleep. It can often be confusing for the older cat when the house suddenly becomes dark and quiet at night. If your cat's vision has declined, that can add to her nighttime confusion. Leave some lights on, set some lights on timers, or use night-lights to provide comfort and familiarity and make it easier for her to navigate around the house.""

I know Tiggy isn't an old cat, but I wanted to share this with you.
