Hello everyone,
So I'm rather distraught. We finally decided to order 2 boxes of Levemir pens to save on shipping. It would be about a year's worth of insulin for Lou. Unfortunately, this is the time where nearly everything that can go wrong has gone wrong, and this was the one time I needed it to go right.

I placed the order from Marks Marine Pharmacy the weekend before last. They took far longer than normal to ship the pens out (2 full days after they received payment). Then I didn't receive any notification from USPS that they received the package (which I have before), and I had to manually track it. They hadn't updated the tracking history, so it looked like it was still in San Francisco. It was supposed to be delivered today, but it was attempted yesterday morning (Surprise!) earlier than they've ever tried before. Caleb was home, but he was still sleeping. Even the earliest I would have had him wake up would have been too late for this delivery. So the package is in limbo for the rest of yesterday until Caleb was able to pick it up today. We open it up and all 3 temp indicator circles are red, indicating a prolonged exposure to high temps. I'm livid.
I tried to call the pharmacy, but I was on hold forever (and their "leave a message" message is beyond annoying). I sent an email a bit ago. I have no idea if the insulin is still good or if it can be assured to be good months from now. Has anyone else had this issue before? I'm curious to know what they'll do about it, but I'm afraid I'll be eating that cost.
