I have been having a hard time getting Jupiter to eat at shot time... Had to put a spoonful of fancy feast appetizer on top because he would not eat it any other way. Only have 2 appetizers left... hoping to find a cheaper way to get him to eat at shot time.. tried crushed treats on top too and he just walked away

Jamie, I agree about those FF appetizers. Since I started using them as Cleo's treats, she has become picky with the regular FF pates. She will walk away from her bowl of food, go to the end of the counter and look at the fridge. As if she is saying, get out the good stuff :lol: :lol:

Our Petsmart had them on sale for $1 each and I had some coupons, so I have about 15 in the cabinet now. I try not to share them with the civvies, and Cleo has NEVER left any on her plate.

I think maybe he is not feeling well.... or just being REALLY picky lately...the civies always try to steal Jupes food even if they have the same exact thing!!! so when i give him a spoonful of appetizer ive got to make sure the girls are distracted first

Starting using a new lantus pen tonight... really hoping his numbers come down!!!!
 
Well, his numbers have come down a little bit.... I am worried since starting this new pen.... so I am going to test again at +6?? unless anyone suggests a different time to test.... *paws crossed* that he gets in better numbers soon... and that he will eat well
 
I've been able to find a source for FF appetizers for $1.09 at a place called Pet Club near me; another FDMB member told me about it. It is the testing treat I rely on for Sweetie; I just peel back the top a little bit at a time so I can get 1 to last as many tests as possible: maybe 8-10?

Still kind of expensive, but nothing else worked for me. Luckily Sweetie loves his regular meals just fine too. I hope that Jupiter's appetite comes back quickly and that he gets into better numbers soon.
 
Walmart sells them for 1.24 I believe.... and my local giant eagle sells them for 1.29..... but I got a few with coupons inside of them for 75cents off of any 4.... and its actually cheaper to get them at giant eagle since they double coupons there.... so instead of 75 cents off of four its actually 1.50 off of four... I bought a bunch of them a while back cause there were times i was having a hard time getting him to eat - like the first few days he was eating pate only (cause at first I was mixing in the shreds with gravy as thats the only kind he would eat) and at the time they were on sale i think for 1.19 each.. so I bought 4 of them and got the $1.50 off with the coupon so I think they ended up being about 82cents each... that was back towards the end of the march though and i dont think they have been on sale again since then...

A while back I had coupons for the appetizers that I was sending to people.... $1 off of four of them.... if I get anymore of those ever again I will keep you in mind and send you some!
 
Double coupons - boy, do I miss them! I have never had them down here in FL, but my sis in NJ says they still have them there most of the time.

Hope Jupe's appy is better today, and he comes down for you! How are you feeling?
