Bella is doing well. I am starting to be in pre-flight panic mode. I am leaving tomorrow one hour before her regular shot time, so I'll give her her insulin at that time and leave food in the feeder, and the sitter will come later in the morning, so there will be a 13:30 hour gap. I know she will be fine. But I cannot help it!
@Bandit's Mom I kind of want to go with 2.5 units to be extra-safe, especially since she won't have as many varied snacks (she gets lots of cheese, butter and cream when I cook or have breakfast. I account for it in her meals, but that will not happen for the next 3 weeks, except if my husband decides to feed her snacks... who knows. I doubt it, though. Spoiled little Bella!) so I don't want her to go low. What do you think? Thank you, Bhoomma :bighug:

So sitter will come twice a day to test and give shots and load the autofeeder? DH is around for another 3 weeks and will be home mostly or only at nights? Will he be able to feed her usual LC snacks or that's not something you want to factor in when considering vacation dose?

Yes to the first part: sitter will come twice a day, test and give her her insulin, load the autofeeder.
But my husband is around for 5 more days and he is on call at the hospital, so around only at night and not sure when he arrives home, some days it can be 9pm, sometimes midnight, sometimes 7. He won't feed her. He would if she was obviously in distress, but he does not feed her. so he will be her pillow at night like usual, but that's it :cat:
And I will be back 3 weeks from today with the kids.

OK. Bella has been higher the 3-4 days on this dose, but it might be better to be extra careful - so you could ask the sitter to give 2.5U as a vacation dose.
Have fun on the trip :-)

Yes, I remember that you're from France and that you go every summer for 3 weeks :-)
I'm planning to go to Paris in July (paws crossed). My last experience is France (in 2012) was that people there aren't fond of English speakers! :blackeye:

I think it’s better than it used to be, they are getting nicer. People in Paris tend to not be nice, even with French speakers!
