Good morning, Maria! Sorry about your AMPS! Flagyl works really well in my cats for diarrhea. In fact, I just picked up some at the vet yesterday (but I sometimes live at the vet - second time this week going there.). Anyway, it’s good to here Khalua’s diarrhea is a thing of the past!

I did have a cat who was unresponsive to Flagyl, but that poor guy had an exotic bug (clostridium perfringens alpha toxin as I recall) and had to be on a long course of Tylosin.

The vet said she's on Flagyl for her IBD because steroids wouldn't be good for her because of the diabetes. I'm calling in a bit though!

When I had to give flagyl my vet told me to stop when the stool was normal He said not to be surprised if he skipped a few days as it can constipate. I’d call your vet today if normal.
Well, that would explain Mouse's current situation. She was pooping regularly and then nothing.

Oh, right. So that’s a maintenance medication for her in lieu of steroids. You can give diabetic cats steroids, but it’s requires more insulin adjustments. If you can get away without it for now, that’s great.
