Kinda weird all yellow cycle today, usually when he's flat he's high like 400's so I guess I'll take it.
Vet visit yesterday went fine. Bloodwork answers tomorrow. Vet was not concerned with his weight or back end appearance. Tells me he's been at or around 11 pounds the past few years and its a healthy weight for him. Even 10 pounds would be healthy. While I believe her about typical size cats and body shapes, I disagree about Tigger. He never looked "fat" at 14 lbs - he looked healthy - he might have been a bit past the "ideal" point, but now he looks like he's under it. Either way, I will no longer stress about getting him back to 12 lbs, but I def will keep an eye on him losing any.

Boring visit is a nice visit in my eyes. That means nothing is wrong.

I had a male orange kitty Fred, he was 16 lbs right up to the end. He was a long tall kitty, carried it well and did not look overweight. My Squeaky definitely was overweight and all in the middle. She looked like she swallowed a football and it was sideways. She was a feisty gal her whole 20 yrs. She was 3 days old when we got her.

I agree with Paula, I love boring vet visits as well. I'm with you on the weight. My buddy Lou was 19 lbs for years before he was diagnosed. He was told he was overweight, but he didn't look it. He looked skeletal when he went down to 13 lbs (that's when we brought him in and he was diagnosed FD). He's been holding steady at 15 lbs the last couple of years. The vet says he could loose a couple more pounds, but I think he's perfect where he's at. Tigger is holding crazily steady today! I hope he keeps it up or comes down to have a catini at the beach.
