6/30 Simmy AMPS 59; +3=68; +6=55

+6=55

Just gave him a GNC vitamin chewy (he looooooves them) about an ounce of LC wet food. Hopefully the nadir is coming to an end...

Now I'm going to lunch and then seeing Alladin, so I won't be back until 6:30...

Stay safe out there Simmy! Lou's out and about surfing today, so he'll keep an eye out on you. I hope you have fun today Jim!

Hi, folks. I came home at 5:30 and had a massive headache and went to lay down. I set my alarm for 6:45 and 6:50 and missed them both. Woke up at 7:50, fed Simmy, and gave him the shot at 8:00. Do I do 7:30 AM and 7:00 PM tomorrow?

I still have a headache (I think I'm experiencing vertigo) and need to sleep

The general recommendation is not to adjust more than a half hour total in a day, so 7:30 AM and 7:30 PM tomorrow, then 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM the next day. Or even more gently: 7:45 AM and 7:30 PM tomorrow, 7:15 AM and 7:00 PM the next day. Shooting early can have the effect of an increase, which is less likely if you're able to do the second method.

Hope you're feeling better!

Oh my...another missed shot time :( Bummer...

Sleeping (for you) is the last thing on these FD cat's minds ya know. I'm sorry that you've got that headache thing going on...as I've said before, please be careful about pushing his dose time back too far to get back on schedule...the early/late times can act like an increase/decrease - and his numbers are low to begin with - which doesn't give you much of a margin for error...proceed cautiously.

Luci is usually so high that pushing her might not matter - key word here is 'might' - but I never take the chance of a dose increase because I don't want to deal with a hypo situation - and I'll shoot her low if I think she's going back up - however - I don't push the dose time by more than 15 minutes in either direction - it just takes a couple of times of waiting to get right back to your schedule...life happens...and we can't always be where we want to be when we want to be - but you've got a 15 minute window of 'grace' to play with...after that it can get tricky.

Hope it all worked out last night and this morning with Simmy's schedule - remember you're here for him - not the other way around - took me a long time to learn that lesson...:p
