I should get Neko's follow-up b/w results back some time this afternoon. Vetty works the afternoon shift, so depending on how busy she is, I might not get a call until 8PM. @Vyktors Mum - Neko's main vetty's office is pretty busy. They started as a smaller clinic with one vet on at a time, but when another large local vet office closed, they took on two more vets, but the same sized space. Judging by the phone calls I hear at reception, Neko's vet is the most popular one. There are almost always droolers in the reception area. One good thing on the office is that they are open 7 days a week.

Another sunny day - that phrase is becoming annoyingly repetitive. It's not supposed to get quite as hot today. Cats are out in the solarium. Neko is stretched out under the shade of a chair. I see she's consumed all the catnip buds I picked off and put on the floor as an offering. :cool:
 
Hey Neko, c`mon out from under that chair and come for a swim in the lagoon. Or are you just gonna lay dere and revel in the good feelins of catnip buds?

hahaha!!!! The obedient mamabean knows how to pleaseth the kitty goddess! Lovely start to the day, Neko. Keep up the good work of nice numbers, holding down the solarium and cleaning up catnip buds! :smuggrin: Happy Tuesday, Wendy!

I hate waiting for bw results mostly because my vet often canals after his las appointment unless he calls during the day. I hope you get really good news.
 
Do you grow or buy the catnip buds? I've only seen it dried and crunched up here and although Vyktor displays some interest he doesn't eat it. I'm thinking he might enjoy some buds...

Sending vines that Neko's B/W come back just fine. Too bad they can't tell you when they do it. I hate it when you have to wait.
 
Left a message at the vet, no call back or email yet. I know enough to interpret the results but they like to wait for vetty's approval before sending it to me. :rolleyes:

Lori, Deborah, Suki, Carla, Elise, Serryn, Peg - Neko is a happy camper this afternoon. I don't know if its the catnip. :smuggrin: I grow catnip in a hanging pot in the solarium. We got back home from errands (time to pay house taxes :rolleyes:) and Neko came downstairs to greet us. It was time for +9 test and snack, but Neko didn't come upstairs. She and DH had a good cuddle/purr session downstairs in the cool. So I went upstairs and fed Theo. Still no Neko. This from the cat who lives for food. Oh, she did eat eventually, but she very seldom prioritizes cuddles over food.
 
And with tomorrow being a holiday, you probably won`t hear from vetty til Thursday:rolleyes:
Those catnip buds must really be affecting Neko, since she`s putting cuddles before food:cat:
 
Neko's done a nice slow drift today. :cool: And it's cooled off enough to head back to the solarium for the last rays of the day. I got a call from vetty. All of Neko's numbers that were out of range last time, except BUN, are now back in range. BUN is better. But, creatinine is still creeping up, though barely in normal range. :( Results are posted, I just got the Chem panel done. Vetty was happy enough with the results and doesn't recommend further action.

@Lori & Lulu - I don't know if you've heard, but BC had a great reputation for buds. :cool:
 
good news on the lab work!

Our catnip is blooming too - but i didn't think the kitties would like the flowers so I hadn't offered. Perhaps I'll go grab some now. It's down to 80 in the shade on our deck. I suppose I can venture out into that! ;-)
 
Good news on the blood work. Nice work, Neko!

I grow catnip in a pot, and we have catmint in the garden. Rusty ignores both!

So glad to hear Neko's bloodwork results were mostly good. "No further action" sounds just great to me!

I did not know they could/would eat the catnip buds. I'll have to give some to Cinco the next time our plant buds.
