Amps 193 Libre

A flat yellow night and it appears she’s going to break her bounce from yesterday (am cycle was a big pink bounce from Friday night’s very active cycle)

Of course we had planned to meet friends for lunch today…but if I have to guess, that’s not gonna happen. Ivy seems to have other plans for me.

She’s already dropping quickly, sooooo we shall see.

As I prepped her food this morning she was staring at (what I thought was a clump of fur) it turned out to be a tiny little frog, so I had to rescue that creature and put it outside where it belonged.
Yuck in my kitchen, don’t really like seeing a frog at 5:45 AM.

Hope everyone has a safe day ahead and maybe even gets to relax a bit :cat:

Well she’s definitely diving at +1 now 85 on Libre.
It’s gonna be a day of feeding lots of tiny snacks.

Is 1/2 tsp at a time enough quantity to feed (since I will have to feed about every 1/2 hour most likely and want to keep her hungry)

Thoughts?
;)

Hi Staci,
A frog? Yikes! How did it get into your kitchen!?
Good thing you were able to rescue it before Ivy pounced on it (good karma ;))

I'm no expert on this, but I tend to agree with you. In the past, I made a mistake of giving Mikan too much when she was declining - then when she was very low, she was too full to eat :banghead:
Rationing makes sense to keep feeding as needed! I'll tag @Angela & Cleo on this.

Hope Ivy stays in the nice dark green for you today.
Happy Sunday! :bighug::bighug::bighug:

I think you have lots of data and experience and YOU KNOW IVY VERYYYYYY WELLL to determine if she needs less volume in her snacks.
Today is looking like the am cycle on 6/28. Would you have done anything differently?

The only thing was maybe fed her higher % carbs at her meal?
But I wasn’t 100% sure when I fed her the meal she was gonna tank (but thought it was possible).

It was right after I fed and shot het she began the drop
But honestly, once she’s in a bounce break, there’s no stopping her and I just have to keep feeding the cycle to keep her going. (But it tends to last through the entire cycle.)
Would you have suggested doing anything differently? @Angela & Cleo

I just wanted to double check that 1/2 tsp is enough food to slow things down, or would more quantity hold her steady longer??

Good question on the baby frog! I almost squished it since I thought it was a clump of Ivy fur, but she was batting it and it moved. Lol!!

I jumped fast to move her away and scoop up the frog!! No clue how it hopped in the house!

Thanks for your help on the carbs, Kit :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Here was the baby frog on the front step when I set it free, a bit hard to see it…

Good meowning Staci and Ivy!
Sounds like an interesting Sunday so far. Maybe it's the start of the plague??? So sweet that you rescued this little baby.
I hope Ivy goes up a bit and surfs safely for the rest of the day and maybe you'll have a chance to have a nice meal with your friends.

Happy Sunday

I hope she levels out for you. I know you're feeding the one protein for her IBS - is it possible that on the occasion that you need to stop her in her tracks you can toss a small amount of a HC wet food at her? There are lots of novel proteins out there that might not affect her as badly? Just a thought. :bighug:

Hi Karolina, yea, very weird start to a morning with a frog!!
She’s coasting lower than I feel comfortable leaving so I cancelled my plans for lunch. Oh well.

Now the next question is can we keep our dinner plans with another set of friends? Ivy rules the plans.
Stay tuned. Time will tell. ;)
I hope you get (or are already home) from your travels to be with the boys today.
Sunday hugs to all of you :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Hi Alicia, I’ve actually given her FF 13 or 15% when I began here and was getting my feet wet. And I have a 20% in the house for emergency.
I just prefer not to feed it if I don’t have to.
I could always add Karo syrup to bump up the carbs with her lamb food if she was super low.

I'm glad there are options for just in case. :bighug:

Oh Staci, I don't know what to say. I really hoped with all my heart it gets less stressful for you and again you have such a busy day. I really hope she gets up right in time before dinner with your friends. I am so sorry you had to cancel lunch. The frog is super sweet! I just hope he came alone and there are no friends and family still in your house!

I went through Ivys ss and with 4.5 she never had so many limes in a short periode of time! It is really interesting. I keep my fingers crossed everything goes well! :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Hi Heike, I’m hoping bumps up too. But we will see. Thanks for your support. It’s ok that I had to cancel lunch. No but deal. Can’t be too upset.

If I can’t go tonight I’ll just send my husband. It’s fine. It’s a group of our close friends and everyone knows my situation. Ivy comes first for me and her safety is most important.
I hope you and Binie are having a very calm night and you get a good sleep tonight :bighug::kiss::bighug:

So good to read that your friends are understanding and flexible and your husband is o.k. to go on his own! I hope Ivy is finished with lime today and bumps up a little. Hope she gives you some rest tonight! :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Pmps 114 Libre. Low am cycle today. :D
We are going out to dinner around +1.
I fed 12.5%, snacks are set with feeder, they are 12.5%.
Auto remote feeder has extra snacks. (My son is home if I need his help, too).
We should be back around +3.
Paws crossed it’s an uneventful few hours :nailbiting:

What a lovely PMPS! I hope dinner is fun!

Cute little frog!! If I had to guess, it looks like one of the grey treefrogs (two species, physically indistinguishable but different calls and different but overlapping ranges). Glad you got the little dude to safety!

He was cute and tiny, Lisa. Just freaked both me and Ivy out at 5:45 am!!
