Green is green. He might be lower 3 hours after food.No one was home to feed him his +9 meal. At +10 DH got home and offered him food, Cinna wasn't interested and instead threw up a huge hairball. I got home at +10.5 and coaxed him into eating a small amount of LC. It was 1hr 30mins from testing time so I knew I was taking a risk that the food would bump him into the blue, but, it didn't. So I guess that's a good sign?
Going to tag a couple of members with more experience - @tiffmaxee @Bron and Sheba (GA)The previous urinalysis where they diagnosed the UTI was done 6/20 - it was also free catch, the lab printout is wrong on that part.
6/29 urinalysis results:
Blood/Hemoglobin 50 (6/20 it was 50)
RBC 9/HPF (6/20 it was 30!)

Congrats on day 4!!PMBG 87
So we broke our run of 70s but I think this was influenced by a couple of things.

I sent a urine sample to the vet yesterday to make sure that UTI was gone; I called today but only managed to talk to a tech instead of his doctor. They said he has some blood in the urine and asked if Cinna had any UTI symptoms; which he doesn't really (but I also haven't been able to observe him enough to say that for sure). All the other results were good.

I'm not sure what to think about this, they didn't seem too worried. I'm wondering if I got this test done too soon (9 days after Dx), that he's still healing up from the UTI. These test results are better than the last.
Cinna has also lost weight, which, he's been losing since we changed his diet. I think he's at a good weight now and hope not to see him drop further. I am weighing him on people scales by weighing him + me then subtracting my weight, so, not super accurate.
I was going to see if i could get the doctor to give me a call tomorrow so I can ask more questions - any suggestions on what I should ask or expect would be really appreciated.![]()

I think you said the only symptom he had was drinking water excessively? When the UTI was diagnosed? Is that still there?
My feeding schedule is in the remarks section of my SS, but, I'll try and give a summary:Could you maybe talk a little about how you got to this point OTJ regarding meals? You mentioned a +9 feeding tonight— what intervals did you feed on average? Amps and pmps feeding intervals. And what feeding schedule was most successful? Thanks I could use the help!
Interesting... I wonder if they worry about false positives on a free catch from contamination. His 6/20 looks like there was something in the bacteria section, it's cut off on the results, but, the 6/29 test is all negative for bacteria. The only thing out of place is the blood in the urine. I'm wondering if it's possible I just retested too soon, like the bacteria has gone but the inflammation is still there and hasn't healed up fully yet. That's pure speculation, I have no idea how all this works.I’ve always been told by my vet if checking for a uti a free catch won’t work and the sample needs to be taken directly from the cat. If a free catch is free of bacteria though there isn’t an infection present.
