Yesterday's Condo

Willie's numbers appear to be holding steady, though he is exhibiting signs of being unhappy about all the packing that is going on. Trying to give him extra love and attention and tell him all about our new house and the yard he'll get to play in. As I mentioned late in our condo last night, I am leaning towards transitioning to the house sooner than planned as the a/c situation at the apartment is tolerable but not great, which I think is leaving Willie tired and peeing more. We will have enough furniture to get by at the new place, so I think next Friday will be the day we start staying over there. Lots of progress being made on the packing front, though last night's dunce move has me headed to urgent care this morning.... thinking stitches will likely be the order of the day. ugh.

Keeping all our ailing kitties in my thoughts and prayers today... special love going out to our newly diagnosed acro kitties. I know you guys will do great in providing great care now that you know the story!

Christie, I'm so sorry to hear about your little accident...definitely do not wait too long if you need stitches! And be careful with all that moving. I'm excited to hear about your new place and being able to move in earlier than you thought will be great. I know Willie is going to love it (at least once he gets used to it!).

Great AMPS for Willie this morning. Have a great weekend.

Re: 6/3 Willie AMPS 116

Christie....definitely get that cut looked at.....better now than later when you in the middle of moving.....Very nice numbers to start the day....

Oh sorry to hear about the accident, please don't wait too long if you need stitches. Take care of yourself!

Good luck with the move, hope it doesn't stress Willie too much

Re: 6/3 Willie AMPS 116

Sorry about your arm, sooner checked out the better. I think Willie will be great once you get him settled in. These kitties just don't like change when it is happening.

Re: 6/3 Willie AMPS 116

Willie is looking great and I hope your arm is ok and you don't need stitches. OUCH!!!! I can't believe how fast things are moving for you moving!!!!

Have a great day....glad you went to urgent care.

Good evening, everyone! Checking in late tonight... my secretary/friend's 50th birthday was today, so I took her out for happy hour/dinner tonight and we shot late, though you wouldn't know it by Willie's numbers! He's currently next to me on the bed, preening away. We're about to have another session with the furminator, which I think has helped him to be much more comfortable. A friend suggested I throw his fur out doors as birds like to use it for their nests, so we're going to give that a try tomorrow!

I did go to urgent care first thing this morning. It was a close call, but we ended up going with glue over stitches. I figured that if I messed my arm up while dealing with the move, it was much easier to deal with a glue situation than a stitch situation. Plus, the doctor said it should heal really well without a scar. Apparently, I had done everything perfectly in treating the wound, and she actually suggested I consider a career in the medical field.   Apparently, medical glue is just glorified super glue, so she suggested I grab some just in case I needed a quick fix until I could get back in. I'm just not supposed to swim or otherwise soak my arm for a week or so. I have way too much to do to be heading to the pool this weekend (though, now that does sound tempting....)

Stopped by the house today as UPS had left a package out front and I was worried it would disappear! Hoping they won't just leave the big stuff scheduled for delivery on Monday!!

Okay, off to brush Willie and then read a book for a bit... It's only 9:30 here, but I suspect I'll be out in a few minutes!!!

Hey Christie, It's a good thing that you got your arm taken care of! I don't envy all that packing in hot weather (although we've done that sort of thing often enough). Drink lots of water! Rusty is looking forward to Willie's housewarming party and to playing croquet (and, of course, checking out the new grill).
Perhaps you can leave a note for UPS to put the packages by the back door.
Have a good weekend, and don't overdo the packing thing!!
