Looks like I can go back to the good old version of Trix's condo: Happy appy, snuggles, and general feistiness are back in place - anti-jinx, anti-jinx, anti-jinx. She was fairly feisty at gelcap time, and fortunately I managed to get it down on the fifth attempt of the first packing - just as it was starting to soften up. If it didn't go down that time, I was going to have to repack, and I knew if it reached that point, it was going get tough! But down it went. Shortly after that, Trix was having a grand time shredding one of the cardboard scratchers with her teeth...silly girl!

My Dad's appointment went pretty well yesterday. According to the CT scan, there really wasn't much change despite not being on chemo for almost 3 months. There were a few "anomalies" such as some haziness that wasn't there before, but even the doc and the radiologists couldn't definitively connect it to cancer or just something that was there because it was there. They started chemo with the single agent...basically the same protocol he was on before without the platinum drug that causes the neuropathy. His doc thinks his crash will be minimal, but we'll see. I also think the local doc was a bit nervous about the Penn doc's recommendation to take off so much time, but I think the Penn doc sees SO many more cases like my Dad then the local doc does and I felt confident because SHE was confident, whereas the local doc seemed little unsure about what to do next.

It is COLD here....it didn't even hit 60 yesterday. And damp and rainy. YUCK!

It's back to work for me today, so I need to get moving. Have a great one, L&LL!

Great that Trixie is feeling so good. Sorry about the feistiness with the gelcap. I'm glad your dad's appointment went well. I hope the doctor is right and his crash is minimal. Sending prayers. :bighug:

Hi Amy,
Trixie, you are making your mamabean very happy. Keep it going!

I hope the new chemo run will be a success and that your dad will tolerate it well. Many vines for him.

Have a good day, despite the weather (it was 38 degrees here this morning, but the sun is appearing through the mist).

Hugs, scritches,

Ella & Rusty

Hmmmmm, sneaking up there again Trixter? Great to hear she is feeling well enough to be fiesty though.

Sound like a good report for your DH. I hope that the new round may be a little easier on him without that other drug.

Great WCR! Love the happy Trixie.

Great news on your dad as well. Hopefully the dr is right and the crash is minimized.

Enjoy the cool. It will be hot hot hot sooner than later. have a great day!

Amy, I am glad your dad's appointment went pretty well and will continue to send lots of healing thoughts and prayers to him as he begins this next round of chemo. Hoping he does well and stays strong and keeps his weight up.
