Hi everyone,
well after reading what Marjorie wrote I fear I have increased to fast.
I had increased last night to 2 units and after Marjorie had said that when I fur shot I should wait
another 6 cycles before increasing, I fear I did it too fast
Should I go back down to 1.5 units or stay at 2 and not go up for awhile
Thanks for any input

I would go back to 1.5u and give that one a chance. Then increase if it turns out to not be effective.

Turned out to be (initially) a good thing!

I just got a fur shot on Sunday so I have to start my count all over again. :-x .

I wonder if Sneakers would mind me shaving her all over for the summer :-D . She'd be cooler and I wouldn't have to worry about fur shots. And her exercise could be rolling around to scratch her itchy skin as the fur goes back in  .

Grayson always has at least two 1"x1" patches shaved so that I can be [visually] certain the needle went in and the dose injected. He doesn't seem to mind, and unlike my black dog Dom w/ the white skin underneath, Grayson is gray through and through, so it's not really that obvious. Other than the length of his hair, you can barely even notice his little velvet belly where it was shaved for the ultrasound!

I picked up a little cordless mustache trimmer for about $10 - love it! Also use it to trim Dom's hairy little toe pads! ... which he's not too fond of!

I really like the patches, and once I learned about his resistance, I was also able to stop blaming myself for fur shots - most of what I thought were fur shots, were probably his body just fighting the insulin.

I was just visting to see how Shakes was doing on his new insulin. I really hope it works better then Prozinc did for him.

Give Shakes a pat on the head from Baxter & I. cat_pet_icon
