hello
I just got the chicken broth where I wanted it .... and the meat.... and I'm cooking the bones some more since I can't snap them to get the innards.....
and I put it in front of Shadow and she said.....
yuck!
and she walked away.

So.... I also have a whole yellow trout that I can try the same process. See if that gets a better response.

The ???? is

Shadow has always been very picky about chicken.....
So it's always made me wonder if she's sensitive to it.... and it is the cause of her ibd issues....
even though we think it's all the additives/gravy stuff....

should I put it in a blender and syringe feed it....

as I am trying to follow the instructions for ibd
on this page at the bottom.

my son's cat loves it so it won't be wasted.
and I could just try the fish and see how she reacts to that....
and then if she snubs it too, then try the syringe feeding....

the only thing she'll eat today is the friskies shredded salmon with sauce.... 15% and the poo is
getting much mushier after a couple of days of this .... hence the gravy thought.....

I had to take a washcloth to her hind side , as her hair had touched the mushy poo and of course
she was livid.

@Lori & Lulu
I hids my hat under the bed.... shhh.... i ain't tellin'. Shadow

I'm not sure. If you think the broth is something that will help her, maybe you should try it. Since she won't eat it that may be the only way to find out.

Shadow.......you won't know if you like it til you try it......just a little bit.
You could try the same with beef bones...she might like the smell and flavour of that.
There is no need to waste any of it though if she doesn't like it. It would be fine for you to have in a soup or meat dish.

i know that if I syringe feed her this chicken and broth....
she'll never like it.... but that 's why the question....
does she not like it because it 's the culprit or just unfamiliar? I don't know how to tell...

I guess I will try it tomorrow....

okay... i'm taking that thought.
making fish broth tomorrow....
of course, now she doesn't want the salmon shreds with sauce ... and I gave her the shot....

Nibble by nibble, the job will get done. More vines.

Maybe Auntie Mary would like a subcontract when school is done - I hear she's a whiz with wool.

That cypro should be starting to kick in just a little by now, especially considering how little she's eaten?

Truth is, I am still working on a knitted hat from 4 years ago...can you say dim-witted!!!:rolleyes: I bring it with me for Dr. appts and such, so that's my excuse LOL!

I can so relate to your appy issues. I guess I am really lucky that I don't have the FD component added into my problems with Minka.

I'll be interested to hear if she likes the fish broth. I made some from bonito flakes and none of my kitties would have anything to do with it. They all like chicken broth, but now when it's boiled down to jelly. That met with a universal "ick".

Sending lots of appy vines.
