Good morning, LL! Thanks for the visit last night, Marje!

Ripley is doing great today!
She's slurping her breakfast (loudest eater ever!), and seems to be on her way to join the CPC. She didn't want to eat on her usual 'feeding table' (the end table by the couch), so I put her bowl on the floor. Maybe she just wants to tease our drooler. He's watching her intently, hoping someone will look the other way so he can make his move...

I hope everyone has a good Monday!
I have 3 new kiddos starting in my class today, all 3-yr-olds. I'm year-round, so I'll also have a several more starting in early Sept. Already had to say good-bye to several last week ~ so hard. I get to know these families pretty well, as I have their children for 2 years in a row; and I have often taught some older siblings, as well.

Re: 6/3 Ripley AMPS 101

year round... wow...
I bet it's hard to say goodbye to some and then there are always a couple that it's not so hard....

I know what you mean about the droolers and opportunities....
can't turn your back or they inhale. One of my dogs will even get on the short cat tower.... if she could rig up a bunch of straws like on the cartoons, she would.

Hope you have a good day...

Re: 6/3 Ripley AMPS 101

Morning Josie, so funny with Ripley changing his eating post. No teasing the drooler, Ripley! Beautiful numbers yesterday and today can be called a green, so close.
Good luck with the three little ones. I bet they all love having you as their teacher.

Re: 6/3 Ripley AMPS 101

Oh, these kitties love to keep us beans guessing, don't they  ! Trix sounds like your drooler. Some of my guys are kibble addicts (looooong story, but there is no convincing them otherwise), and boy does poor Trix stare them down while the are eating. She knows if DH or I just look the other way...she seizes the opportunity, dives in, and tries to grab as much as she can in one bite. We really can't turn the other way at all....she is watching everyone at all times, when kibbles are out. Silly girl!

Surf as beautifully as you always do, Ripley!

Just got home from work. Ripley really wants to go in the backyard, but it's too hot. She acts funny/'off' when she gets too hot. I wish she could understand... Instead, she's glaring at me.

Hi, Rhiannon :-D It's true, there are usually several students each year who are more than ready to move on to a new school  Especially the 5-yr-old boys. They outgrow our school's environment by Summer. It's funny watching our 'hoovers' stalk Ripley's food. R eats so slowly, and if our dog or civvie cat started eating from her bowl, R would just sit there and watch ~ completely non-confrontational.

Hi, Ann :-D Ripley usually likes her routines ~ but every now and then throws us a curveball. Such a cat sometimes. Thanks for the well wishes with my new students ~ you're so sweet. They did great!

Hi, Amy :-D Silly Trixie. Oh, when our dog Marley eats, Ripley usually tries to sneak up to his food ~ and he's a messy eater, so we have to pick up dropped kibble when he's done, or else Ripley eats them. They love each others' fuds.

Hi Josie. Nice to see Ripley with another nice day of numbers. She sounds so much like our civvie NFC. She'll let the others eat her food too if we aren't watching.

It sounds like you really enjoy your job & the children are fortunate to have a teacher that really cares about them.

Have a great evening.

Nice numbers for Ripley today.
Ripley really wants to go in the backyard, but it's too hot. She acts funny/'off' when she gets too hot. I wish she could understand... Instead, she's glaring at me.
I wish we could explain things to our cats and they'd understand.

Hi, John :-D Silly kitties, letting others eat their fuds. If they were in the wild, that wouldn't work out so well for them  . I DO love my job, so much. I've been teaching for 16 years, and I can't imagine doing anything else. The age group I work with is the absolute best ~ they keep me filled with hugs and laughter. :-D

Hi, Carla :-D I think Ripley understood that I was being a mean mamabean   ... But I gave her a treat and she quickly forgave me. She's so easy.

Awww, my sister says the same thing about her little kids that she teaches. She gets to know them so well and then has to say goodbye...and then the new ones come along and they're nice and all, but it's like training a whole new herd of puppies!!! Lovely numbers for Miss Ripley today! Sorry it's so hot out there. It's disgustingly hot and humid here, so I understand. Enjoy your evening, Josie!
