Good Morning LL,

A few internet issues this morning, so I'm posting from iPhone - what a pain.

Pixie's numbers have been a little more erratic since adding new food, Wellness, to his diet. He absolutely loves the new food and I don't mind the jump in numbers if it means he 's eating a higher calorie diet. However, yesterday's PMPS spike isn't readily explained as Pixie only had Wellness very early on in first cycle and Merrick the rest of the cycle. So the last few times that Pixie bounced into blue, it turned out he had gastro or pancreatitis issues which surfaced very soon after noticing the blue in Pixie's numbers. So I will be watching Pixie closely for signs of illness - so far this morning, his appetite is lower than yesterday when he ate a whole can of the Wellness for breakfast. A lower appetite suggests illness but I don 't want to give meds too quickly - I guess it will be a wait and see approach, along with testing to see what his numbers are doing. My son says that observation of animal behaviour is a big part of veterinary practise as it helps in making diagnostic decisions. I know that my husband used to spend hours watching cattle eat when he would first get them in from the West. This would last for about 4 to 6 weeks until the worst of the shipping fever was over. Luckily, this practice kept all his cattle safe and healthy.

Wishing everyone a pleasant, uneventful day and vines to all that need them.

Anne

Re: 6/3 Pixie 0.1u AMPS=97, +2=88

Well, Pixie's numbers look fantastic when compared to Shasta's right now...so...good job, Pixie! No drama for your mama. Let's keep it simple today, ok?! Observation is so important. Unfortunately, when I watch Shasta too closely, I find things to worry about. I never know if it's real or just something my mind made up. Good luck on your observations today, Anne. Hope you have a great, relaxed day with Pixie!

Hi Anne!

Erratic, but still pretty good readings, and today Pixie has been green all day   . Only two more days for an OTJ trial :-D.

Indeed, the food does make a difference. I'm also a bit concerned with Juno's change of food after I'm going back home in mid July. He has been eating Ziwi Peak since February, but I have never seen this brand at pet shops over there and the supply of cat food is very limited. I will probably need to look over an online supplier or so. Otherwise, we may have a problem when we go back home.

Have a great day you too!
Cristina

Trix's numbers always bounced all over when she ate Wellness. She also tired of it pretty quickly. I hope Pixie's lower appy is just a little fluke. Have a great afternoon, Anne!!

Pixie's numbers look great today. Maybe the blue was just a blip yesterday. I hope Pixie's appy gets better.

looking great, little pixie! i'm loving this spreadsheet - and as Cristina says, only 2 more days until you-know-what! btw, we encourage people to have a green preshot to start a trial.

i hope Pixie doesn't have anything more sinister going on and he perks back up again right away!

Pixie continues to look great!

Holding my breath waiting for you two to slide into a trial. :-D I hope you're able to get some good data from observing Pixie, and I am sending good health vines to you two.

Anne, your little Pixie is looking fabulous! I think you are headed for something really exciting here!

Sending safe surfing vines for more days like this!
