Yesterday http://felinediabetes.com/FDMB/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=72350 there was a dosecrease threat and no response, so today we upped again. A lively discussion in yesterday's condo on amount to increase and feeding late was very interesting to me. I still have lots of catch up reading to do from the comments kindly posted by others. Thanks very much to Jill and Libby to adding to my education.

I have been thinking about possible causes for Neko's high dose requirements. Her skin seems fine with no tears, so Cushings seems unlikely. My vet mentioned she had never seen a Cushings cat. I have wondered about acromegaly. Neko's feet are large, but I think they always have been and she is rather long haired. She does seem to blink a bit at light and seems more cranky than normal. I suspect high blood sugar would do that too. I guess a test is the way to go.

Today was AMPS 484 +2 397 +4 206 +6 153 +8 197. A nice little blue run with the nadir probably around +6 to +7, or at least somewhat later than her typical +5.5, by the time she finished getting rid of last night's bounce. A good start to the new dose but I want to see what it can do when the shed is fully loaded.

Today I went over to the island to visit my mother and take her a new wheel hoe for the garden, as well as many tomato plants I started. As a result, DH did the testing after +2 until now.
