RECAP: Hugs and healing vines and prayers needed for some today.

Barb is having back surgery today. http://www.felinediabetes.com/FDMB/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=44676

Donovan is healing from a major dental and jaw infection. He has only three teeth left. Yesterday Butthead sent a beautiful rainbow.

Claudia has a job interview today and would appreciate your guys prayers.

Julie's Pumpkin received an acro diagnosis yesterday. Must be a lot to take in.

Marjorie's Tobey has a healthy happy strong heart! He has a bad eye ulcer though. He is going to visit Gracie's eye vet (who is Canadian I think  )

Please add as you guys visit condo's so we can all stay on top of things.

Has anyone seen Sandy/Tessie-Lou?

Off Topic:
Ella - Hoover is one heck of a lucky kitty. Wishing he has many of them nine lives left but for sure he used some of them. I'm with CD - Maverick weighed five pounds within months of being born LOL. That is a tiny teeny Maine Coon.

Update on adopticats Henry and Victoria. Victoria is at home. Henry is still very skittish and not settled in. He has his moments of being settled. He LOVES Patrick. Henry loves cardboard. I had to dump my cardboard recycling box in the kitchen as I needed the big box I put everything in. Henry made himself at home on top of it. Victoria decided she wanted to be there and they started paw boxing. With Henry running the first opportunity he could to hide. She rules the roost thats for sure. I feel bad for Henry though. He doesn't seem to play with traditional toys. He's really scared of them. The laser, mosquitoes, sunflower seeds and bunched up paper towel are fine though. DH brought home the wagon from the warehouse where he works, because he noticed it said Henry Express. You guys all know what comes next....

ohmygosh karrie! that is too cute. henry looks like he belongs there in the Henry Express!

yes, it's a lot to take in - we're working on it.

i'm wondering about Lauren (squirrel) - she hasn't posted since yesterday when she said she was taking her drooler, charlie to the vet. he had a fast-growing lump on his spine - he's a german shepherd, 13 yrs old - i'm thinking there was bad news.

I found a new quote site last night - i was looking for one in particular, but the whole thing was so good i bookmarked the page. Here's one for today:

Difficult times have helped me to understand better than before, how infinitely rich and beautiful life is in every way, and that so many things that one goes worrying about are of no importance whatsoever...

Oh I'm so glad I stopped by this morning and got the overview of LL! Karrie, thanks for updating us. I don't get to all the condos, so didn't know about a lot of the news. I posted about Tessie Lou today. She is doing great. I think the Henry Express is hilarious!

Have a great day everyone!

LOVE the Henry express!!! How incredibly adorable!

Have to visit condos more in-depth this evening...I'm at work right now.

Hi Karrie, I hardly get over here and am going to make it a point to stop by more often. Thanks for updating us on everyone. I'm on LL and can't keep up, so nice of you to recap. I love the pic of Henry. I bet before long they may be friends.

Has anyone heard from Celi?

Karrie, thanks for the updates and for posting that picture of Henry! He looks like he's ready to go for a ride :-D, and what a handsome soul!!
Julie, I know your away today but I saw your post here about me and Charlie and i can't tell you guys enough how sorry I am for not updating last night.. I was just a zombie with what's gone on the past couple of days.
For those that haven't gotten the update, my drooler Charlie is going to be fine, it's just a fatty tumor but in a place that makes it look much worse than it is. Needless to say I was relieved. I won't leave my LL family hangin like that ever again!

Hi LL! This is my first time posting in Loose Lips. Great idea to start this daily post!!!

For those not on fb, I thought I would let you know I took in a new foster last weekend. Sorry I have not had a chance to post sooner. Busy. Busy. BUSY! I specifically said NOT under 2 and no special needs. I was open to having a pair. When I got the call that one kitty needed to be picked up from the vet, I was hesitant but said yes. Tippie (aka to me as 'Tashi', for now) is not likely 2yrs old as they said. She is probably pushing one. I cant believe how tiny she is. Truly kitten looking. She also does have special needs. She is newly blind in one eye, due to a virus. Her eye will need to be removed at some point. Tippie/Tashi has spent her short life on the streets and was a TNR (trap, neuter, return). They did a very poor job clipping her ear. Because of this she is a very scared kitty, and can flip on me in a blink of an eye. I have a few marks to prove it. Oh, she is a black polydactyl.

Tippie/Tashi is an AWESOME kitty! She is unbelievably playful. Its actually fun to play with her because she goes crazy! :dizcat If I tire out first, she is more than happy to continue playing on her own. She has the smallest, cutest meow which she uses often to hold conversations or find me. Honestly, she has a lot of the same characteristics of Latte when she was very young. The long, non stop tail. The never sitting still. Playful. Completely attached to me when I am home. I do need to walk softly and slowly, and keep down the noise. She is coming out of her shell much quicker than I expected.

I will be taking her to the vet later today, because both her good and bad eye have had discharge since she has arrived. I suspect they will have to take out her bad eye sooner than later, and I may be involved in her care for that. I have a fb group for her. Anyone should be able to join: http://www.facebook.com/home.php?sk=lf#!/home.php?sk=group_213974755301744&ap=1
Because I cannot get her to sit still, there are more fun videos than sweet photos.

I hope everyone is well. I think of you daily, even if Im not around. Such a huge part of my life, this group. Looks like I have some catching up to do!!!!

Karrie: LOVE the picture of Henry and your pup!!! Adorable. Again, I love that you do this and share all the LL news. It's a great place to come to find everything in one condo and then we know we can go to specific condos to lend support. Thank you!!!!

We're sending healing vines to Donovan and Charlie Bear as well as Rocket and absolutely of course BARB!!! Sandy posted in our condo late last night; didn't update on TL but she was around LL. Support to Julie on Punkin but she is an amazing, strong lady and Punkin is in the best of hands. And yes, Gracie's eye doc is Canadian

Hey Carolyn, Tippi/Tashi is a bundle of pure energy!! How great that you can care for her. Life is good with a kitty to care for, yes? So nice to hear from you. Please post often and send more pics of that Tippi Tippi Topper! Good luck with the vet visit.

Ella & Rusty

Karrie: Henry looks so at home in his Henry Wagon. Does your DH pull him around in it? Victoria may rule the roost, but Henry is one handsome guy. He'll be driving the wagon himself in no time.

Thanks for all the updates. They are very much appreciated. Have you joined a paddling club yet?

hmmm, carolyn, you sound suspiciously in love with this new little one. funny how that happens! and she is younger than 2 and has special needs . . . could be that the universe has nominated you to be the perfect family for her. i've had that happen.

here's a video i took last year at my friend's goat farm. not babies but only 2 minutes long and they make me crack up every time i look at it. ya gotta watch the goats' lips - perhaps it's just me but i think it's the funniest thing i've ever seen. I'm holding the camera so it's my friend that you're seeing. it's where i was quilting today.

teehhheehhe, goats! it looks like there are some kids in the corner of the stall.

man, those goats will eat your sweater if you let them.

I am guilty of not being on last 2 days!! :? :? :?
wORKING & tiredness are my excuses--Off to visit condos--Love the Rainbow from Butthead--Copper & he must be consulting on how to reach us here-Both doing a good job! Love & Hugs from us!

I have been meaning to post more on here but haven't had much time lately. I have been reading the posts and Karrie, I really appreciate you giving us a summary on what is happening in LL. I also love the pictures of Henry and Nike on Henry's Express. Henry looks like he is just ready to go somewhere.

Glad to hear that Charlie's report on the lump is nothing serious. Yeah for good news!!

Carolyn, the pictures of your new little foster kitty, Tashi, are just adorable. Definitely a bundle of energy.

Praying for Claudia and hoping the interview went well today.

And finally, Julie, what a funny video of the goats. Your friend must go through a bushel of carrots in one week! Hilarious!

sadly my interview got re-scheduled for monday afternoon....it was a last minute thing...so i was not impressed but gives me more time to prep as i was not feeling well prepared for it...who is really....

Henry is adorable....

praying for Barb that all went well...had no idea...

BTW, Ella....when Rocket was 5 1/2 y/o....i had moved to a new place...a basement unit with both Rocket and Comet...and so i would use the backyard of that house to let him go out...obviously on a leash...so on the 2nd day of us being there....i went inside and when i came back outside he was gone....he managed to get himself out of .....i freaked out and started looking for him...it was a Sat....he was GONE....needless to say...i searched day and night for him...and feared the worst....

on Monday i told my boss what had happened and he gave me the idea of sending a fax to all vet clinics including the shelters with Rocket's pic and description and since he is neutered with the tattoo info as well...so he was nice enough to let me use the fax and i spent most of the day calling and also faxing...on day 4 after coming home from work and sleepless nights for me....the worst thoughts were coming to mind...

but i look around my place and saw all of Rocket's toys...so since it was winter and lots of snow...i thought...he is new to the area and can't smell where he lives...so i made a trail of ALL his toys including his beds and blankets and scratching post from the door as far as i could with all his toys....as i went back inside to try to look for more of his stuff and thinking to re-organize his toys outside...i went back outside...only to see Rocket standing outside the door....he was ALL dirty....i gather he had found shelter in a garage and was probably scared....

i was sooo happy to see him....he was sooo hungry....but all was well....

i think had it not been for the trail of his toys he would not have found the right place....

wow, that was very smart of you! i wouldn't have thought of it, but what a great idea. whenever we moved i always kept the cats inside for several days to make sure they knew this was where we lived now. my greatest fear was losing a kitty at a new place.

The cat that was abandon at work and has been a resident for almost three months was picked up by a truck driver over the week end who wanted a travel companion. I could not take him in due to so many other factors but I did treat him for fleas, cleaned his ears, washed his face and made sure he ate decent kitty food. And threaten anyone who came near him to be nice or scram. ;-)

Though I was the one mostly involved in screening potential adopters the janitor took it upon her self to give him to the driver while I was off over the weekend. It kind of miffed me a little, with respect to those out there who are OTR's with good jobs and decent morals I have had very little liking for the majority of truckers out there I have to deal with in my present job and in my former profession as a LEO. I just pray this person did it out of honest desire and was not doing it just to swoon the female attendant.

Westen was a cool swirly striped tiger kitty with a wonderful personality. So, so trusting.

I pray he is in good loving company. I feel like a uncle who just lost a nephew.
