YoYo girl likes the drops from HI numbers to medium numbers. it gets her eating, purring, cleaning, walking around and seemingly happy. She does not like the drop from lower numbers to LOW numbers. And she does not like the big jumps up, or sitting in the HI numbers. So, she is feeling good right now....until she starts bouncing again.

As for me, I shake my head at the drops because I know she will pay dearly. But I enjoy the few hours we have that she is feeling good, and I think I am crazy for even considering letting her go. Then the bounce...and I see her looking like...well, death (to be brutally honest), and I cant stand seeing her look and act so sick. I go to bed feeling like a lunatic after a days worth of emotions like this.

She got an appy stim at +1 because the last time she ate was when she dropped after the vet. She refused all food as she started to bounce. She ate good after +1, and karo was added to her food after the +2. I will start to add it after +1 in the future and just deal with it making her higher if she is not clearing the bounce that particular cycle.

I opted against the a/b last night because I could not get her to eat with it,and getting a pill in her would have caused such a commotion - making her feel worse. She is not sneezing or doing whatever it was she did last night. the vet did not mention allergies, but some of you did. I had a candle burning during these fits and maybe the smell was not good for her? It had rained earlier, mixing things around in the air. I just dont want to add ANOTHER pill/medication if its really not necessary. I will NOT hesitate at any sign today or in the future to start her on it. Im guessing her high numbers at preshot, along with the amount of water she drank the few hours prior probably made her feel and look as bad as she did. And she did look bad....until we got to the vet of course! :roll: I actually took a picture this time to show him. :lol:

Her drop slowed. Im not even going to pretend to guess if she is going to continue going down or immediately bounce back up.

I dont know what the plans are for day three of staycation. im tired today.

I hope you guys have a good day - tired seems to be the norm today. nice drop for latte from here amps - i hope she can stay there. and enjoy your day, whatever you end up doing.

Glad you got her to the vet last night Carolyn....you caught that cold right away and that is so great!
You are so wonderful....knowing Latte as you do. So, you are on on ABs and that will take care of the infection soon. Good news! Right?
I am loving this string of pretty yellows all together like this...no wild jumps in the yellow surf. And, it's good that she came down from that red. So, I am hoping you will be able to nap a little today, no?

You know your girl...if she starts the sneezies again or if her eyes look 'runny', at least you have the AB's at hand. It may well be that the lining of her nose got irritated.

Hi Carolyn,
So glad to hear that Latte (and you) have rallied. I hope that today will be a nice, gentle day for her with good eating, safe numbers and no big bounces or drops. And I hope that today will be a nice, gentle day for you so that you can refresh your spirits and get some much needed sleep. Take a break and go out on your bike for a little ride this afternoon. (Tomorrow, if you like, I'll take you along--virtually--on the ride I'm leading on the "Paul Smiths Loop".)
You and Latte are always in our thoughts.

this looks like a fairly easy cycle, my suggestion for how to spend the rest of your staycation day is to curl up on the bed with Latte and take a nice long break. ((((Carolyn)))).

Caryl has kept me up to date on Latte's status and reading this today, I just want to say, what I know you already know - you are one amazing momma bean and Latte knows how much you love her.

Just checking in. I'm glad Latte didn't have a super drop today, so maybe she will have another nice mellow yellow cycle tonight or tomorrow, too, instead of a long bounce. Our fingers are crossed.
I hope you get or got some nice rest and Latte got some nice cuddle or snuggle time, too

Been keeping an eye out for you guys today. Not a fantastic pm#, but no big, gargantuan drop so far tonight. That's better. Wonder if she's ready to clear the bounce in the am.

Sorry I didnt update sooner.
We are okay over her, for those late nighters checking in (amy????)

Her appetite stim didnt seem to do the job it usually does, or it didnt go down the hatch. But she has eaten 'okay'. Most of our day was lazy. I watched a movie while trying to fall asleep, but couldnt do either...pay attention to the movie or sleep. :YMSIGH: (too much coffee???? ;-) worry? ). Latte came out of the bathroom while I was in bed and laid next to me under the piano. As soon as I got up, she went back to the bathroom. That was very heartwarming. It was as if she really wanted to be near me.

Got some errands done, including her cat food. That was a hard one for me, to buy a BUNCH of food. Ive always avoided buying things in bulk or stocking up on meds if Im unsure she will be here much longer.

She has been very vocal today. I think she is sick of me being home in some ways...too many pokes. :lol: I tried to lay off as soon as I saw flat cycles ahead.

OT/Wierd!:
I took care of a boy for 6+yrs with a degenerative disease. He passed away 3yrs ago. Toward the end, mom and I would sleep with him sandwiched between us, taking turns counting the seconds between breaths (sometimes that would be 30+ seconds or more). I missed his passing by about an hour, once it actually happened. Anyway...I was very close to them. They were my family. Today I was trying to get a pen to work and scribbling on some card. Once I poked a hole thru it I thought I should look at it and see what it was. It was a pamphlet from his funeral. this thing has been kept on a book shelf (little shrine) for THREE years. I have NEVER moved it...EVER. How did it get on my couch?!?!?! :shock: I read it and noticed his bday and date of death. Bday...6/3. OMG! TODAY IS 6/3!!!! So, anyway..other than being a bit wigged out and trying to figure out the meaning behind it (not to mention HOW did it move from the bookshelf to the couch! :o ), I spend nearly 3hrs on the phone tonight with his mom. :mrgreen:

So thats where I have been! And Latte has been sleeping in the bathroom. :YMSIGH:

very strange, or maybe not so strange. hope you had a nice chat with his mom. you must have been very close.

looks like a good night to lay off the pokies and get some sleep. tomorrow's numbers will be better...

This is one of those where she tricks me into thinking she is clearing, but goes way up at the end, then drops a gazillion points on the next cycle. :YMSIGH:
500-HI @ amps is my bet.
200-300pt drop by +2. Repeat.

Thats my vent.

At least she LOOKS pretty good tonight and has eaten 1 jar bf AND 3/4 can ff. Couldnt ask for more in that arena. :thumbup
