Yesterday

We took the reduction. I can't believe Harvey is back down to .5 units! :woot: Of course, the little bugger didn't want to eat this morning - a couple bites at t/f/s and snubbed breffis, so out came the meds, and an hour or so later he's eating again.:) His appy is such a roller coaster! Thankfully, not eating did not produce the low number it did yesterday. :eek: I was unsure about taking the reducie because I knew he wouldn't have earned it if he had been eating. We'll just have to see if he holds it once the depot readjusts.

We didn't make it to 100 yesterday. Just to 99 :p. Today is supposed to be the hottest day, and we turned the A/C on at 11:00 am, which is really early for us. :confused: I really don't want to go outside at all, but there will have to be a grocery run later.

We are holding Lydia and her family in our hearts today as they help Rosie cross. :( :bighug:

Are you giving him cypro? Zyrtec is sure making Max eat and he wasn't eating poorly before it was added.(anti-jinx) hope the reduction sticks.

Yup. That's what I give him when he doesn't eat on his own, combined with Ondansetron. I have found that combination works best for him. I have given him Zyrtec for sneezing before and did not see any affect on his appy that I recall. As long as the combination I'm using works, I think I'll stick with it. :)

In my opinion it is, too! I start melting at about 80 degrees!! :joyful:
 
Work that reducie, Harvey!! I wish Trix could tolerate cypro...it would probably alleviate some of my stress, but it negatively interacts with her BP meds.

Enjoy the warm weather (I know I would :woot:!)!!

What about Zyrtec? It's not a decongestant and no warnings on BP. I checked it out before giving it to Max.
 
I'm glad you took the reduction. Harvey is looking great! :cool:

I am trying to stay away from cypro for the moment, just too many meds.

I think we are getting high 70's this weekend, come up for a visit. ;)
 
Nice numbers for Harvey today. I hope he continues to eat for you. Zyrtec doesn't always make cats eat more. I haven't had that happen for any of my cats.
 
We gave Harvey his shot and dinner and dashed out the door to meet Mark's best friend for dinner. Then a quick stop at Costco and home in time to see Harvey was happily paddling around after China in the lagoon. :D His plate was empty, so I refilled it, and he's almost finished the entire can! :)

It was still hot in Dixon, where the restaurant was - the thermometer in the truck said 99.:( When we came out after dinner it said 91. When we got home (about 25 miles), it was 84. In the hour we've been home I think it's dropped another 5 degrees. A/C is still going, but I'm hopeful I can turn it off and open the windows soon. We usually only have a handful of nights every summer when it never cools down enough to turn the A/C off. Glad this isn't one of them. I'm also grateful that the heat doesn't seem to be affecting Harvey's appy too much (anti-jinx). The other kitties were all temperature sensitive, even though we keep it pretty cool in the house. Appies would always decline when the temps outside went up. Another reason I hate summer!

I've had Lydia on my mind all day. I hope Rosie had a peaceful crossing and is safe at the Rainbow bridge with her beloved Basil.
