Still hanging in the yellow. Do you think the R I'm giving is doing anything? I'm just curious because it seems like it doesn't really matter what dose I give, it keeps Cobb in the yellow. Don't get me wrong, yellow is just fine, just curious is the R is still good (I have left it out of the refrigerator a few times. Not for an incredibly long time but a few hours) or should I up the R dose? I'm at 30u of the Lantus. That's as high as we are going with it. So I have to adjust our strategy with R only. Or, since he's below the renal threshold most of the time and is feeling good, leave it alone?

Just tossing my thoughts out there.

Re: 6/3 Cobb AMPS 227(2.25uR)

Morning, guys. I'm not familiar with R, and can't answer your question. I hope that his #s come down for you very soon. Try and have a good day.

One thing I've noticed over the last few days. Cobb's food spikes aren't as great. Sometimes he spiked 80 points. I'm now noticing the spike isn't as great, or he may even drop. Effect of the R? Or flatter curves and some overlap?

Well done Cobb!

My goal for Neko was/is to spend as much time as possible under renal threshold. She bounces more than Cobb does, so I do try to get some green on her SS because when she does, she doesn't bounce as much. R might be taking the edge off those food spikes. Neko's also not consistent on how much of a bump she gets from LC dinner. There are times I wonder if the working pancreas of an acrocat has kicked in and taken the numbers down a bit - more noticeable in lower numbers than higher ones. I also find when the dose is better (lower numbers) I get more of an overlap.

Isn't that strange since Cobb has a higher IAA %?

This dose is looking good on him. Although we had a nice week last week too. It always concerns me when the lowest number of the cycle is the preshot. But if Cobb's NDW only took him into the 200s yesterday, who am I to complain?

I'm not sure if there is a correlation between IAA and bounciness. Ozy has a higher IAA number and his liver doesn't freak out as much either. The IAA just (possibly) delays when the bounce occurs. And I believe Neko's IAA is mostly broken because she is responding to the insulin and is on a much smaller dose now.

On Lantus, Neko nadir was often the +12. And I got caught out occasionally when it went to +13.

That's true. Ozy is not as bouncy.

Cobb's nadir is all over the place. I haven't been able to really pinpoint it, to be honest. I know it isn't at +6. It's somewhere between +8 and +12.

i think bouncy has to do with how much time they spend in lower numbers - not much at all (if any) to do with iaa/acro. i suspect the reason Ozy doesn't bounce much is because Donaleen keeps him in greens for hours at a time.

Someone said to me that R is relatively indestructible compared to Lantus. You can leave it out or refrigerate it. I used the same bottle the whole time with punkin and it never lost potency. So i doubt that yours is compromised. I think adjusting your R dose is a good strategy to try out. You'll know if it's working or not by what his numbers do.

Donaleen does an awesome job of keeping Ozy in green. You're probably right. His liver is used to the numbers so it doesn't freak out. That makes perfect sense.

I wonder if I'm using just enough R to stave off a big food spike. I guess that's better that the number isn't going up just as the onset is setting in. So...

Oh well, I'm pleased with the past two weeks. Maybe Cobb got the message that this is all the insulin he's going to get so stop trying to climb up the dosing ladder. We don't need any drama.
