Tessa isn't eating again this morning. She did eventually eat 1 Fancy Feast can last night and I left another half a can out for her spread out in multiple bowls throughout the apartment so she wouldn't have to go far for food if she got hungry. She didn't eat any of that though.
I decided to skip the gabapentin and just give buprenorphine alone for pain management this morning. I was nervous that giving both might make her too sedated to eat. It's been about an hour since we gave that, hopefully it will kick in and she will feel up to eating soon. She didn't fight the bupe as much as the gabapentin, probably because the bupe doesn't taste so bad. I did my best to get the bupe in the cheek but she probably swallowed some of it. Hopefully enough got in to actually provide some pain relief. If she doesn't eat in the next few hours, I will probably give gabapentin too in case it's pain that is preventing her from eating.
I had to pull her out from under the bed to give insulin this morning. She was not happy about it but she didn't run back under the bed afterwards, she ran to her favorite pillow in my office and laid down instead.
She doesn't seem to be in as much pain today but is definitely still uncomfortable.
