6/29 Skooter ---- update from the road

Hey All, just a quick note from San Diego!

Sun burn? Check!
Sore feet? Check!
Exhasted? Check!
Having fun? Double Check!

Things are going well. I have been checking in with my sister every day and things are going great, at least that is what she is telling me. She did say he is back to roaming around the house. From diagnosis until now, he would hide and he would hiss etc.....I am thinking now that he is so well regulated, that he feels better about being there....


Sadly, it is only 10 pm, but between the fact that my body thinks it is midnight and all the walking I have done, I am exhausted.....

Hi Molly - thanks for the Skooter fix. Great news that he's out and about in the house. :) Continue having fun!
 
Nice, that skooter is doing good. You are in my neck of the woods. Riverside is hot & humid humid! San Diego must be a bit cooler but still humid. Have a great time!:)
 
Thanks for updating us on your adventures, and Skooters. So glad he is comfy at your DS' house, and that you are relaxing and having fun. Hopefully the work part won't wear you out again and you can come home with your batteries recharged.

Sadly not a ton.....I thought I would be spending more time with my co-worker but since she brought her family they have been doing tons together and no car.....

BUT I did take the ferry over to Coronado for a bit....which was nice....hit up the Gaslamp District for a bit and Little Italy....the San Diego Zoo was a MUST and I got the most adorable pictures of a baby hippo! I have done A LOT of walking....near our hotel is the USS Midway, which I did not tour, but they have a really cool statue from the "famous kiss" in New York City, but I think one of my favorite things was the Bob Hope Tribute....the statues were AMAZING and detailed and it also played audio of one of his USO tours which was awesome! Tonight is my last night here, and I will probably take another walk, however, my feet are KILLING me, so I am not sure how far I will get. I wish I would have known I was gonna be solo more than I thought because I would have done more research and found things for myself to do....plus this was my first time going to a work conference, so I wasn't really sure how everything was gonna go.....the next one I MAY be eligible for I believe is in Orlando, which would be way fun. The one thing I found today that I would want to do is, of course is closed today :( It is a tour of Haunted San Diego....now THAT would have been fun....

I touched base with Jenn, my sister and Skooter is doing great. She said she can do his medications in his food in her sleep now, so that is a relief....I will be curious to get him home and test him and see where he is at....
