Yesterday's Condo

The good new is: I had a very deep and lovely sleep. The bad news is: When I am tired I don't set my cellphone alarms very well.
:sad: I slept through the +7 that I wanted to get as well as the +8 snack time and when I awoke suddenly at +9 I bolted out of bed to find the 26. :o What a mess I am! I kept syringing gravy in his mouth and then got readings for the next two hours. Pajama party!
He was working towards a dosecrease withe two previous numbers that were <50 so this was okay that he earned the automatic decrease in this way now.
He ate his breffis and seems to be feeling just fine. He is purring and trying to groom himself. I took off the rigid collar and wrapped a 2" wide bandage around his neck and across his chest and front legs. He looks like a Redcoat soldier without the red coat. KWIM? :lol: The bandage covers both his neck & the shoulder where he keeps licking and we will see how this works now. What a weirdo I am. :roll: Most of Ps in place, waiting for the others.
Went to the toddler section in Walmart yesterday to see if they had any shirts that would fit him but they all would leave his neck uncovered which isn't ideal. Almost bought a pair of baby seat pants but I wasn't sure if the ankle opening was big enough. This new bandage might work. (Those cone coffee filters can be cut and they fit nicely around their necks but he tore it off this morning. LOL ) He is fastidious when it comes to grooming his gorgeous fur. His fur is like silk. I hate to hamper his efforts but he always works on that spot on his shoulder and lick it raw. Don't know what else I can do. Well, had another little talk with him & I hope he understands that "I am only doing it for his own good" Why does THAT sentence give me lots of flashbacks to my childhood?

Well, HELLO, Shadow!!! Pat, I'm sorry you had to wake up with such a shock, but I'm smiling from ear to ear! SNAP!! 26, whoa!! Look at him go on this dose. I guess you've decided he's finished with this dose for SURE.

This is very hard work for you but, gosh durn, I'm excited now! Happy dance, happy dance!!

Holy crow! Now 26--that's impressive!

What an interesting day you have ahead. Where will Shadow go? Someplace good, I think. (antijinx)

Incidentally, if you want to use the sweatpants, get kid-sized ones, not toddler. In a thin weight, almost like leggings. I used a children's size 12 for my italian greyhound (16 pounds but deeeeeeep chest) and it fits so nicely. He loves it when the weather is chilly.

I think Shadow wins the amps award wow!! nice !!! - but what a night for you. I have yet to have one of those nights - i wonder how well i would fair - me and night alarms don't so well. :-D Shadow is looking really good! And a 26!?! omg, and a pajama party for sure!

Looking forward to some good things from Shadow today.

Hi Pat! Just when you close your eyes to get a little sleep, wham-o!! Shadow is serious this time around, that's for sure.
Have you considered cutting the arm off a long-sleeved t-shirt and using a piece of it to serve as a turtleneck? You might be able to slit it and hold it together with velcro strips in order to get a snug, but not too tight, fit. Get some naps in today!!

Very nice!!! What a night you had.

I had an interesting afternoon.....I took both cats out on the leashes and we were having a nice time in the back yard, then sitting in the grass in the front yard. Socks doesn't leave my side and prefers to sit on me, Spooky wanders a bit. Spooky decided to trott off into the back and Hannah went chasing after him (which makes him run quicker :roll: ) behind the house is a hill going up to the neighbors house which is covered with really tall grass (I don't know what it's called it typically grows near water it's taller than I am) Spooky went under the fence and started up the hill (leash dragging behind) I went up the street and through the neighbors yard to come down the hill. I was "swimming" through the grass parting it to look at the ground, I could hardly see anything, then I parted the grass and directly in front of me was 2 huge EYES :o I scared the sh** out of him and let out a scream and ran back down the hill into our yard. I contined down the hill until I slipped and went rolling through the high grass onto the lawn. I imagine it looked like a bulldozer was coming down the hill to get him! I landed on the end of the leash (thank god) and Spooky was in total panic trying to run away and was screaming like someone had stepped on his foot. bcatrun_gif I got up and picked him up, he was shaking and panting worse than a car trip to the vet. Now he won't go in the back yard! He sits at the walk and refuses to take one step down the stairs. I'm not to anxious to go down that hill again either! When we got in the house Socks just hissed at Spooky and swatted him on the head :twisted: I'm glad no one saw any of that.

I bet that 26 woke you right up complete with a heart rate that was like you just finished a marathon. Great job of managing those numbers. I hope you are able to get a nap in.

What a night!! Good luck with the dosecrease - I think Shadow will do well.

You are not a weirdo. You are very creative! And sometimes that's what it takes to find just the right way to help your baby.

What an exciting condo. A 26, a beautiful AMPS and a barely noticeable bump up which could be a slight liver ... eh?... or from the HC. I'm impressed how Shadow handled this... VERY impressed!

:lol: :lol: And now that I've (almost) controlled my laughing binge, I can say I really enjoyed the Spooky and Monique show. :lol: :lol: What a riot! Oh man, a camera would have just been TOO perfect! Although the word picture Monique gave me is pretty darn hilarious in itself. Thanks Monique.
