Yesterday started much like today and ended in an HC inducing 60's surf overnight.

6/28 Recap:
APS 112 +6 96  +9 128
PMPS 84  +3 81 +7 65  +9 62

I'm not sure what Neko did this morning - I took advantage of her coming up from +9 to head out on the water. What was most surprising is that she didn't greet me at the top of the stairs when I came home - she was still owed some food. :o She did eventually come in from the sunshine in her solarium bed after I said hello to her. I had to haul her out from under the bed for the +6 like yesterday, not sure why she's there. We did get some under bed purrs though.

OT: Big mistake going on the water on a long weekend. There were four naval defense ships in our little fiord and the water was anything but calm. Lion's mane jellyfish are now out too - they sting! Didn't want to flip the boat today.

Healing vines to all that need it, with lots of feel good/appy vines going out to poor Lucy. Also cheering on all those OTJ kitties, as one finishes trial (yeah Boomer!), another one starts (go Zack!).

Nice cycle so far, Neko. I like the idea of lake fish sushi as a prelude to a chipmunk dinner. But the chipmunk got away!
Rusty.

ugh on the warships in your cove. And jellyfish, too. Sounds like a good day for a bike ride!

Have a great holiday weekend!

+9 79 PMPS 130
Neko had a good nanner session this afternoon, and is currently sniffing the breeze through the solarium screen door. It's fine cat weather.

@Ella, Michelle - Thanks for stopping in. Neko put on a little green for you. The naval defense ships are more like patrol ships, not so much warships and probably being used for training. But they still generated decent sized wakes - we don't often get larger boats in our part of the water, although it is deep enough. Jellies are fun to look at, just don't want to fall in - we didn't.
@Rusty - We'll get Tillie to help us round up the chipmunks next time. ~Neko

Great day for Neko, if not for the beans rowing. :-D Stay away from the jellyfish! I'm not sure if that's worse than Marje's scorpion. My next race is July 12, 10.3 miles, starts at 7100' (2100 m), goes up to 9100' (2700') then back down. Up is a dirt road but down is a narrow trail. My primary goal is to not fall.

Well it looks like both you and Neko had a nice day! Glad you got out for the rowing, but yikes on stinging jellyfish!

I want to know how you seem to prevent bouncing from Neko's green numbers! Diet? magic??

Yipee! A sleep pass - so needed here. I-) I-) Looks like a reaction to last night's lows.

@Liz - The stinging kind of jellyfish aren't that common, about the size of dinner plates and orange and easy to see. And they aren't in my house! I hope you make your race goal. ;-)

@Ruth - Take a look at Neko's 2012 SS, heck, even the beginning of this year. She was plenty bouncy - Neko used to be called the Rainbow Queen at one point. The magic for reducing bouncing is time and luck. Over time I've discovered that a dose where Neko regularly gets nadirs in the 70s seems to reduce her bouncing. I use digital calipers to measure the dose and tweak it up or down to get it as close to that as I can. The more she sees green the less she bounces, but if her dose needs change, all bets are off. It doesn't take long away from seeing green for her to get bouncy again.

Hi Wendy,

Glad that got in some rowing and that you didn't flip. Too bad about the larger boats..

Sometimes a good sleep is needed.
