Remind me not to pick up any more extra shifts! This morning I came home and gave the 2nd feeding (Janelle worked at the animal shelter today) and was about to go to bed. Has anyone ever not held their cat's ear long enough to stop the bleeding? I had gone into the bathroom to brush my teeth, and when I came out, it looked like poor Marshmellow had been shot in the head. There was blood splattered all over the floor where she was eating, and all around her neck was bloodied from shaking her head.

I felt absolutely terrible, and never mind her fear with me having to try and was her! But she was all lovey and forgiving tonight when I woke up to feed her.

I hope everyone has/had a nice day and safe surfing to all the kitties.

Nice slide for Marshmellow today. I've thought I got Furball's ear to stop bleeding before and then realized it was still bleeding when I went to give her her treat I give after testing. I'm sorry you and Marshmellow had to deal with that. Don't feel too bad. If she was eating, it probably didn't bother her that much. It's a good thing our kitties are so forgiving.

I don't think there's too many of us that haven't had our homes looking like a crime scene at one stage or another, your description made me laugh though! Carla is right it's a good thing our kitties are so forgiving - and its a good thing for them that so are we!!!

Steve.....I read what you wrote in Polly 's condo ...that you could do anything for 12 hours........it must be a nurse thing....because I often said the same thing to myself if I was having a hard or long day at work! And some of those days were really tough.
