Lucy woke me up meowing for breakfast, and ate her 1st portion really well, half by self & half by hand-feeding.
Today is a sub-Q fluid day, so I tried to shoot her as close to the hind-end as possible, which she doesn't like much, and she moved as soon as I pushed the plunge.
I think I pushed it all the way before she moved, so really hope all insulin got in.
Her numbers have been so nice since yesterday's PM cycle, and I don't want to mess it up!!

I've been using One Touch UltraSoft Lancets, but since yesterday night, I'm trying a different brand - Abbott Thin Lancets 28G.
It has twice as much lancets in a box at about the same price.
Lancets are cheap enough I don't worry too much about the cost, but I was trying to find something that is more comfortable for her and yet draws enough blood.
Right now, 33G lancets do not do the job yet - not nearly enough blood, maybe in future when her ears lean to bleed more easily, I'll try 33G again.
So far, I don't know if I like the new Abbott ones.....

Great number for Lucy to start the day, Mariko!

I use Unilet ComfortTouch lancets, but these were leftovers given to me. They are 30G. I notice Cleo's right ear bleeds much easier than her left. I try to rotate, but if I am in a hurry, I always go for the right one!

Great numbers, hope Lucky jumps I took the shot nailbite_smile but gave HC I have both Lancets I like the Abbott's and Relion Lucky ears bleed really well but he doesn't like me very much aymore.
I hope Lucy keeps surfing for the day give you a break =^:^=

Lucy has her green on today. :mrgreen: :mrgreen: Looking good. I think you got the insulin in. :-D

I'm using the OneTouch Delica - 33g. They take a couple more seconds for the blood to bead up, but they do seem easier on Neko's ears.

I agree. I think the insulin got in. :)

I use the Relion lancelets. Uh... they come in multi colors. I think they're 30g. I kinda just grab the box and then throw it away after I pour them into the container I use for diabetic supplies. :lol: Oh according to Walmart's webpage, they are 30g.

Nice greens for Lucy today. :mrgreen: I use the Relions at Wal-Mart, but I use the 26G. I tried the 30G first, but had trouble getting Furball's ear to bleed enough.
