I am very happy with the nice green start to Simon's day. Haven't seen that in awhile. Simon is doing well this morning, although last night he had the pukus from you know where. I thought I got everything up, but was greeted with a lovely smell in my family room this morning. Seems like I missed a spot! Simon is still scratching at his ears even though he has been on a non fish diet for a few days. I have put him back on the anti-histimine to see if that helps.

I have been trying to feed Simon the Wellness Chicken because when I bought one can of it, he gobbled it up. So of course I bought a bunch of cans from PetSmart and now he turns his nose up at it. Why do they do that to us??! I guess he is just a Friskies and FF kind of guy. I was hoping the Wellness might bring his bg down a little, but it won't help if he doesn't eat it.

Simon's numbers are fabulous hope the green trend continues and Simon, eat the Wellness it's sooooo good for you.

Are you up to doing allergy testing for Simon. I think there are certified dermatologists for dogs so most likely cats. It might help find out if it is a food allergy. When this started was there a change in Simon's food the month before at all? My parents german shepherd was allergic to chicken. He was put on an elimination diet using a novel protein while testing was going on and he stayed eating kangaroo for years.

Look at that AMPS!!! Lovely Simon :cool:

Good morning and what a beautiful green morning it is for you!! :mrgreen: :mrgreen: :mrgreen: Yay Simon! Sorry about the pukus. Like my DH says, "I'd rather have to clean up a little kitty pukus than not have a kitty." :lol: Always the optomist. Of course, I am always the one to clean it up. :lol: :lol: :lol:

Well the PMPS is not exactly what I wanted to see, but the early part of the day was fantastic.

Karrie, the only change in food came when we put Simon on the all canned food diet. He has had ear allergies off and on for a long time. I'll have to ask my vet about allergy testing. That is definitely something that I would consider doing if he continues to scratch. Simon's vet did say that there are more problems with ear allergies and seasonal allergies here in Georgia than anywhere else in the U.S. Interesting because it is the same with people. People who move here all of a sudden have more seasonal allergies and asthma problems than in other parts of the U.S. So don't plan on moving here if you have allergies!! I think it has something to do with all our pollen problems and humidity (not sure, just guessing).
 
good numbers for Simon and hope you figure out what is wrong with him....hopefully you can test for allergies.....

FWIW....we had to get Comet tested on allergies only to find out he was allergic to beef and lamb....he used to lick his paw and made it raw from licking....you know Comet is the dog, right?....it was after a few vet visits when one of the vets suggested that test....we were shocked....needless to say we changed his food and the licking stopped....hopefully you get to the bottom of what is going on with Simon....

another dog i know used to get pretty severe ear infections...it was not until his food was changed that it got better....i know the two examples are of dogs but it's worth getting it checked on Simon if it's going on for too long now....my opinion though...

Great numbers for Simon today! Hope you can find out the source of the allergies..Poor Simon I have them myself...Cold be a food allergy, Ya never know--Hugs from us-Hope you find the cause!
