All is quiet in these parts. Gabby is snoozing in her cubes. Gizmo has played a short gave of fetch with his spring and is now in the cat tree after having made sure there was not a piece of fur out of place on Gabby's face.

So cute with Gizmo washing Gabby's face! I was wondering if Gabby returns the favor to Gizmo? Maggie used to always wash my GA boy kitty's face, but he never returned the favor to her. Guess he thought that was her duty! :smile:

How sweet of Gizmo to watch out for Gabby like that. You never know when company might show up and she needs to look her best.

Gabby will occasionally wash Gizmo's face but not with the attention to detail that Gizmo provides. I believe that grooming is a dominance behavior since it involves scent marking. I guess Gizmo wants everyone to know that Gabby is "his." On the other hand, Gabby may be willing to put Gizmo up to the highest bidder (at times). (It's good that I have the deciding vote!)

Gordo "tries" to wash Enana's face too...but she doesn't want any of that! She's learn that after the wash comes the bite :shock:

That is so adorable for Gizmo to wash Gabby's face. :) I've noticed that with 2 of my civvies... Both brothers. 1 will wash the other's face.

Very lovely #s, Gabby! :) I hope that you will touch a toe into the :mrgreen: s soon. :)

Well if Gabby doesn't like Gizmo washing her face she can always try cleaning it under the faucet.

Gizmo has been nipping at Gabby's heels all evening. He so badly wants to instigate play with her and she's having no part of it. It's been a gorgeous day and I've got the windows open. Gabby's far more interested in sniffing the breeze. She also seems quite taken by these numbers. They haven't budged since AM +9.5.

It's very sweet that Gizmos is so conscientious about Gabby's appearance! Last time we took Trixie to the vet, the doctor commented on how beautifully clean Trixie's ears were. That's because her civvie brother, Zen, is more than willing to keep them tidy for her. Kinda icky to me, but Trix seems thrilled about it, and the vet was impressed to boot, so I suppose I can't complain!

having owned only Rocket and Comet (the dog)....i have never seen two cats groom one another....well...i sort of have but not in person....if that makes sense....so i can picture it all....all i can say is AWWWWWW.....

hope she lets him groom her!

Wonder if Gabby has plans for tonight. Nice they take turns grooming each other. It's nice that Gabby tolerates Gizmo. Probably does not want anyone to know she really likes him even though he antagonizes her sometimes. Hope all is well with your sister.
 
Awww, they're so sweet! I always look forward to reading their daily adventures. It's almost like a comic book! But uh, without the pictures.
