Once again, the bounce reach a new high level.
This morning Dumdum's AMPS only 123, so I didn't give him food and test again after 30 minutes. The number was 128. I'm not sure was it going up or not, so I gave him food, and did the shot after stall for an hour and test again at +1.

Recently his numbers are really not doing so well. I know sometimes this happens, but Dumdum BG's reaction to Lantus is not like other suger cats that stable. Last time when I paid a visit to the vet, she mentioned that maybe we can think about changing other kind of insulin, due to Dumdum has used Lantus for two years, but the numbers still can't be considered as good reaction to Lantus. I told her I would like to try for one more month, but now the situation didn't get better. We are going to meet the vet next week, so I think I should seek for some advice here before we go to see the vet.

Here in Taiwan, the insulin I think we can get, besides Lantus, are Levemir, NPH, caninsulin and Humulin.
Each kind of insulin has good user's experience in Taiwan, but consider their efficacy, looks like Levemir will be first choice. I'm wondering is there any possible Dumdum will have good reaction to Levemir when his reaction to Lantus is not good? Because I'm not sure is it's component different from Lantus. Is there any information page I can get? Or is there anyone have been changed insulin from Lantus to Levemir that can share some experience with me?
Thanks for stepping by, and a lot lot thanks for reply!!! :-D

Of any of the alternative insulins you mentioned Levemir would be the best. We have Tess on Levemir. We switched because Tess had a very early onset and nadir on Lantus. It has stopped the early cycle dive but she does still bounce. Some cats just do.

You might not need to change insulin, sometimes a slightly different feeding regime helps, a little higher carb food coupled w/ more insulin. Marje (Marje and Gracie) is great on working this out. You should check w/ her.
