So a little lower today, I'll take it. She had a snack early and may have had a few pieces of Cassie's dry food.....Ugh....
So she twisted her little footsie getting out of the litter box so I opened a can of food to get her a small dose of Gabapentin. See what her PMPS is at. It was one of those days.

Looking to get her a larger litter box with a lower entrance/exit.

Nice to see Allie making her way back to blues again. Looks like the footsie owie isn't an issue.

Responding to something you said yesterday: making raw food took hardly any time. I used a premix. And had a kitchen scale. I would add a certain weight of meat, add water as per the scale, the premix, then mix it all together. I had little tubs that could go in the freezer, and I put a daily amount of food in each tub. Again, using the scale to get the right amount. It took maybe 1/2 hour to make a couple weeks of food for two cats. I usually had more than one protein too.

Yes, yes, yes! More blues please. I do have a late appointment tomorrow she should be OK plus I'm searching high and low for a large corner litter box. They both have the same litter boxes and my 17lb cat doesn't have a problem the boxes are large but Allie is slow on the turn around so I'd like something wider.

@Wendy&Neko I love to cook, though these days time is limited and I'm exhausted. I may give it a go but I've tried the expensive foods that look like real food and they just don't care for it as much at all. We have all been down the.... what food today would you eat today road I guess. I've read over the raw food files and I wouldn't mind. What meats did you use? Cassie is prone to those crystals in her urine so I am trying my best to do what is right for both. Allies kidney level were a little elevateds and she will be rechecked.

After dinner she jumped up onto the futon, then the back of it onto her cat tree :) a little fumble but I'll take it.

Wow, what a nice long stretch in blues so far today.

For cats with crystals, you want low carb, low phosphorus, and plenty of water added. Neko's non diabetic buddy had idiopathic cystitis and some crystals, so that raw diet worked for him too.
What meats did you use?
Hmm, what didn't I use would be a shorter list. Neko got quite the variety. Her main go to meats were chicken, turkey, venison (summer), kangaroo, and lamb(winter). But she also got duck, buffalo, elk, and occasionally rabbit, beef, pheasant and wild boar. I think I tried goat with her as well. I lucked out in that I have an exotic meat butcher close by, plus a raw pet food store that stocks all sorts of different proteins.

Neko hit the Mom jackpot, she sure was lucky! I've had so many other animals that have passed over many a year but not from diabetes. The heartbreak is huge every dang time :(

Where I live I'm sure there is something near that I don't know about. I am LOL @ you saying the list is shorter for what you didn't try! Now being on the coast here in FL I'm sure I could get all kinds of seafood! When I lived inland it would have been more land proteins. I moved right before (like a month) covid took off and stuff happened so a lot changed but still stayed the same and being new to the area did not help.

Allie jumped up to 230 at +3 so I should be OK tonight and she just ate again, not sure if she will get her 1-2am snack but it does help her numbers to keep steady.
