Zener has a great appy this morning but I couldn't get him to eat his 1/8 zantac in a pill pocket. Oh well. We had two nice green cycles yesterday book ended by blue. Maybe again today, Zener?

He is now in his man cave (under the chair by my desk). The big excitement last night was Zener caught a bird!!! Only about the 3rd time in his life and like the other times, this was a fledgling learning to fly. But still, Zener did catch it and brought it to us to share. We told him what a good hunter he is and let the bird go. Hope mama and papa were able to help it get to a safe place for the night.

Thinking of Michelle and Mannie, Lyresa, Roni, Rusty with his dental (no fuds!), and others who are ailing or grieving. Happy Fursday, LL!

Good afternoon (here) my sweet family!

MR. Z! U caught a bird? Oh KT is SO jealous....he doesn't even get outside to try to find them but he sure talks to them when they land in the hydrangeas under the window! On top of that, you have nice numbers!!!

Liz/Anne - THANK YOU....how sweet and such a perfect card. It's standing beside my computer screen - I've reread it many times.

SchniggleSnuggle had to have doggie aspirin this morning - as she's becoming stronger and her muscles are healthy again, that leg is loosening up and causing her a bit of hurt. There's nothing we can do about it other than having it removed - since it's a back leg AND her age, none of us think it's the right thing to do....we'll continue to do the doggie aspirin thing. She's SO sweet and has the happiest look in her eyes all the time. It just makes my heart sing remembering the look of so much horror when we found her. I don't ever see that in her eyes any more so know she finally feels like she's loved again....which she is!!

BIG HUGE HUG!

Nice blues again today for Zenner! Cleo (GA) caught a baby robin once, and the mother chased her all the way into the house!  Then I had to get both og them out! ohmygod_smile

 A BIRD! You caught a BIRD!!!!!! Oh Wow! But the beans took it? cat(2)_steam cat(2)_steam cat(2)_steam cat(2)_steam -- Tess

NICE numbers, Zener!

Aw, how sweet, he brought you a present! :-D Hershey watched a mouse we had in the house once. But watched was all he did. Oreo is our hunter. He talks to the squirrels and birds, but can't chase them since he isn't outside. But, you let an ant get in the house and he steps on it and licks his paw before you know what's happened. Snatches flies out of the air, too. And, he even brought my daughter a great big live bug to her bedroom last week. She wasn't as impressed as he thought she'd be.

Zener, the mighty hunter of fledgling birds who fall to the ground, has done it again!!! This afternoon, Liz saw him strike his crouch and engage (only rugby players will know these terms) pose, then slink across the yard and strike! Liz managed to rescue yet another fledgling finch and get it to safety. Zener is feeling very smug, no residual feather left on his lips this time.

@Lyresa - you are welcome for the card, we hope you find lots of support from friends and family in these heavy days ahead. We're glad to read KT & SchniggleSnuggle are doing their best to bring you good cheer. Zener must have been catching an extra bird today for you! :YMHUG:

@Ann & Tess - it's amazing and oops, he did it again!  on the picture in our minds of the robin chasing Cleo! And yes, we took this one away too.

@Libby & Hershey - Zener is taking pity on his beans with such poor hunting skills! Oreo must be a fierce indoor hunter and protector of the home! What a shame your daughter is not so appreciative! Our civvie Tillie used to snatch flies out of mid air too, but she's given that up for more cerebral pursuits, such as napping with her eyes open. ;-)

Gosh, could this be like...another...."normal" Lantus cycle? :o

Visit to the cardiologist today was uneventful, which is a good thing. The doc thinks the return of the PVCs is due to all the disruption of electrolytes from the food poisoning and it will take several weeks for Liz's GI system to return to normal after all the ABs for the food poisoning and the root canal. He was very good at explaining things and gave very practical suggestions for how to manage without meds but with foods and lifestyle modifications (like no caffeine or chocolate - aarggh on the no chocolate for a few weeks).

Paws crossed no more bean vet visits for awhile now!

Re: 6/28 Zener PMPS 122

A nice blue start for the hunter Mr Z! It always amaze me how these kitties wants to hunt & toy with these little creatures.

Re: 6/28 Zener PMPS 122

Wow - what a nice day for Zener mighty hunter! Lots of very pretty blues. Well done Zener - you heading to the lagoon tonight? I love these cycles!

Zener - you caught birds? Wow - you are my hero! ~~ Mannie

Re: 6/28 Zener PMPS 122

Yet another great cycle by the mighty hunter. No wonder he is feeling good and frisky. Wow, 2 birds 2 days in a row! I guess he has his appetite back too!

Neko's most amazing bird catch was a hummingbird. They are so fast. She was out in the garden with me when two flew by fighting and didn't notice they were inches from a cat. I picked Neko up, she opened her mouth, the bird flew away and continued chasing the other hummingbird.

Re: 6/28 Zener PMPS 122

What a great day & Eve for Zener!! Great Hunter, you like those birdies for a gift for your beans!
Moonie recently brought me a million legger that she was playing with!! EWWWWWE!!! Then she Killed it!
Have a beautiful night! Hugs & Lo0ve from us!!

Re: 6/28 Zener PMPS 122;+1 166;+2 133;+3 126

An exciting evening in the backyard, no bird catching but almost as good - the hummingbird moths are coming to our trumpet bush. They look like a hummingbird and fly a little like them, though not as fast, and the kitties are hypnotized watching them! No catching or attempts but lots of staring and head bobbing and weaving. Zener is feeling a little smug about his latest hunting prowess.

@Helen - yes, we are enjoying some very nice cycles on this dose. Zener has never been a very good hunter, so it is a big surprise that he has captured two birds in two days. So far, we are two for two with rescues.

@Michelle & Mannie - not sure about the lagoon tonight, the mighty Z is having a very nice calm cycle...so far! Hey Mannie, yea I caught two birds. I spotted 'em, crept up on 'em and jumped 'em! Wow, I am so impressed with myself! I'm not sure what to do with them after I catch them, but my beans usually take them away before I'm supposed to do something else. Do you know what that is? - Zener

@Wendy - :o on Neko catching a hummingbird and  on the little rascal flying away in the chase without missing a beat! These stretches of better numbers do have Zener feeling frisky! Wish I could say his appy was back, it's usually up and down and more down than up with the heat and the roofers!

@Roni - Zener is a giver! Ugh on the bug!

@Caitlin - "getting your hunt on"   Woo hoo on Mr Kink's OJT trial!

@Marje - he is having a very nice day and several nice cycles in a row, looks like this dose is a good one for now. :-D You're welcome for helping Donna while you had some much deserved time off compliments of Madame G!

It's a quiet and warm night for us here at 7000 feet. Windows are open, so very entertaining for the Z-man. Hope everyone is having a lovely drama free evening.
