I knew last night at +8 that Tuxie was going to do a bounce but I was not prepared for how high he went!!

And his poor sister Maxie is still hiding out upstairs after almost 5 weeks since the two "brat grandkitties" came to stay here. This morning she peed in the spare room (on my steam cleaner machine yet!!) so I had to move the main floor litter box back upstairs. The two "brats" attack her when she comes down to use the LB so she did the next best thing. So there I am at 3 AM steam cleaning the spot she used. Then I went to the basement to clean those boxes and saw that Tuxie had pooped on the floor near the LBs. The "brats" have two boxes but they still use my kitties' other two boxes in the basement. Tuxie is VERY fussy about a clean LB. So now I have LBs on all three levels of the house, a spare room that still smells like pee, my girlie kitty afraid to come down to the main floor AND my son says it could be another month MAYBE 2 until he gets a place. He is thinking of trying to buy a house...which would be way more than another month or two. So with very little sleep and everything else going poorly this is not looking like a good day. :(

Sorry for venting!! :arghh: I know there are many of you out there with much worse problems. :bighug: to you all!

Awe I'm sorry about Tuxie's bounce and all the stress! No sleep makes everything feel worse too. Maybe take advantage of his high number for now and get some extra zzz's.

I was actually thinking of grabbing a nap, then I did Tuxie's numbers for +3 and he has dropped over 200 points. So at this point I have absolutely no idea where he plans on going. This is definitely going to be "one of those days" :banghead:

+4 and Tuxie has dropped to 189 another 122 points in a hour for a total of 348 point drop in 4 hours!!. I gave him Tbsp reg food and 3 drops of syrup and will retest shortly.

EDITED TO ADD: +4.5-176 tsp reg food hopefully he won't drop too much more

lots of drama for you today....

I let my son have a cat but she has to stay in his part of the house... we have a hall door we keep closed so she actually has a couple of rooms.....

but Shadow keeps her domain.... she has the living room....where I am all the time.

My son was in between apartments and asked if I could keep the "grandkitties" for a month until he got another apartment. When he moved back here a few years ago he had the basement and we had a door put in between his area and the main floor. When he moved the door and frame had to be removed to get all his furniture out so there is no way to keep the "brats" separate from the rest of the house. Tuxie holds his own against them, but they pick on poor Maxie relentlessly so she has been in hiding in the upstairs. My son is currently rooming with friends who are not pet friendly, but if he is going to be taking another couple of months or so to get a place, he will have to have another door put in place.

+7.5-160 so Tuxie is holding the blues for now :)

Hi Mary Ann - vent away! You've sure had quite the night  having to steam clean at 3 a.m. It's too bad when a kitty gets picked on by the others, cats can be like some teenage girls sometimes.
Happy to hear that Tuxie is holding the blues right now.

Looks like Tuxie has fondness for the bungee jump. If he starts out high, I might give him a decent help of LC at +2.5 or +3 to see if you can slow down the dives.

Here's hoping your son finds a place ASAP!

I completely empathise with the whole children leaving their animals with you scenario. My kids are always leaving their animals here while they go on holiday. I have 2 droolers here at the moment. I have a kids gate up so they can't get into the house...just the laundry. Sheba is so used to other dogs being here she doesn't react at all....but I know she would with a cat. We sometimes have a neighbours cat come to the door and she charges the door and spits at it.
I hope your son finds a place soon
